When I lift up my tank, i can see some paint peeled off already, and it is near the tip of the tank.. going to need some touch up. if not scare tank rust

see tml weather how lorz...if ok den i call down the shop to see whether they r open..if got open den i go buy the stuffs..come back home den slowly do..

I have been looking for 2nd hand steering damper. But what are the thing I have to look out for? Damper stroke? Bracket? I have check ohlin webby, and it state using 68mm stroke for our bike, can I use longer stroke? Cause I dun see why we can't use longer, cause the most we cannot maximise the stroke. And the other thing is the bracket, do we need a bracket? Suppose we can replace the stock damper with the ohlins rite?

One guy who is selling told me that i need to get a bracket, which regardless what bike i have to use one. Anyway I looking at 2nd hand one. Mostly ard $300. Actually At first looking at getting hyperpro active type of damper. Cause I dun see the point of getting a fixed type of damper. Slow speed also hard to steer. My friend got the scott damper, got high speed and slow speed damping.. meaning when slow speed your handling still smooth. But cost ard $700 plus include shipping.

Just to confirm with you, I can just use the ohlins damper without any other bracket to fit on our bike rite? Just the damper ALONE can do??

I'm using ohlins damper. You definitely need a bracket to hold the body of the damper.

I see. I suppose the bracket is to hold the centre part of the damper to be mount onto the fork. Got a guy wanting to sell me without bracket for 280. Heng never buy. Thanks man.

My friend used to have the prob, got damper but no bracket. He used to ride r6 but change to K4 600 with me. But he got lobang to duplicate the bracket using mine as an example. I think cost abt 70-80 bucks. He mass order abt 5 for my friends. Try checking at Sporting motor if they sell bracket. They used to but it was long time ago. Now have to buy as a package. Damper inclusive of bracket.

centre..tank mount..side mount..our bikes can onli tank mount or replace the original damper wif a aftermarket one..usually side mount dampers r longer thus not recommended for centre mounting...

Thanks Fata| and MC28 for ur comments at the sales thread..

Anyway a potential buyer just put down the phone with me.. He's pretty agreeable with my asking price of $15.5k, and he says he's confident of getting his own finance company to cover my full amount. He'll arrange with his Finance company to clear my remaining installments if the sale goes thru..

Hope my deal goes thru this time, coz the last army regular guy got his licence to pilot an aeroplane.. :cheer:
