i also got this problem.maybe u can try to set the rpm higher but i think it will still drop to wat it is like now.i deciding to go to guan hoe and ask them to reset my bike.if this is still not going to help then i die die must install a pc.

You may be faster than wind, but never time! It's alright for not having any fond memories at the older age... But it'll be awful for having only regrets. There are things in life which you'll never be able to recover once they've passed away, even when you use the fastest machine in the world.Treasure your life and the others too! Idling at 1K RPM.. is it too low ?

MC28: So I adjust to +/- 1.3K ?

1.3K ± 0.1k equal 1.2k ~ 1.4k. This is the recomended spec.

snell: grrrr... u all tua-ed me!

espy & suzuk4: 1k rpm is a bit too low. set it to about 1.2-1.4 as the rest had mentioned. anyway, for the idling getting lower, i had this prob too. so i will go whack the bike periodically, and the rpm maintaians

well, in order to prevent the rpm from dropping, my mechanic use silicon to glue it to the rpm adjustable knob. he say the silicon can be removed easily.

so wat u guys tink of this method?

cannot make it. it's not the knob that is giving way. it's the carbon built up that is affecting the drop.

i can frankly tell u..it's not due to the knob..it's the carbon as wat wx mention..

i can have my idle dropping, den i turn higher..make a mark..after awhile, idle drop again..and the marker is still at the same spot..

when u turn up again, the idling will go up for sometimes till too much carbon gets struck again..den u go clear carbon and ur idling will shoot up..

Ok guys... I got new stock of maxima chain lube... got small and big can. And also I got a new chain lube from Maxima called Chain guard. It suppose to be more durable than the normal chain wax. More for wet weather. Anyone interested in getting the chain lube, feel free to PM me or call me at 97692898. I also have Maxima engine oil. Those interested can also PM me for more information. :cheeky:
