HI GUYS,

 

I'm considering of getting a class 2 bike. And one of the bikes in the list i intend to get is a ducati streetfighter.

 

I was wondering if anybody can advise me on Ducati Streetfighters?

 

Like, is it very comfy for long distance n stuff? Also is it a very high upkeep bike? And is the maintainence very expensive?

Comfy for long distance, how do u define comfy? it's naked so u will fight with the wind if u running very fast.

I'm riding the streetfighter, imo i think it a bit like a naked, little sporty, street bike.. i got friend riding the 1098 saying rising position is nice on a SF

fuel comsumpution is abt 15l = 230-250km

maintenance = maybe a bit ex due to it's an electronic bike, but depend on what u are doing!

Long distance as in, riding up to kl or even beyond kl. Hmm.. btw, u got ur bike from mineva ?

 

what i mean, maintainence for like engine oil, milage etc etc. on average how much do u spend? 400?

 

I knw its quite a noobish question. i've got no ducati frens.

Use to ride a Monster 750 (old model) my opinion, under power and not fun. any Singapore mates could advise on SF, comparing the SF 848 wet clutch vs the 1098 dry clutch..........

 

Any meet up that I can join to understand more about this bike.............?

Ducati Streetfighter, horrible bike. So many problems, electrical, fueling, ride height, maintenance costs, insurance... Gearing... Terrible bike. Whoever is considering that bike beware. It really sucks.

i also interested to know whether the riding position is comfort? during the sepang visit, i notice the seat is low in height.

its as comfortable as riding a 883 sportster. Ultimate touring machine.

848 is much comfortable compare to the 1098, wider foot peg, higher handle bar giving more upright position, still very aggressive posture I would say. Short distance ok, long distance -______-"
