currently riding a sf 848.. which gear do you all ride in on expressways? i feel when I'm in 6th gear, it feels like "insufficient acceleration" rpm just below 4k. so i would accelerate more at 5th gear, then kick up to 6th. so in order for me to prevent this "insufficient acceleration" feeling, I would accelerate more however my speed will exceed 120km/h. I want to conserve fuel therefore i want to ride in 6th gear. will riding in 5th gear conserve fuel better as compared to riding in 6th gear with this "insufficient acceleration" feeling? my throttle is usually opened minimally.

That is normal. When I ride my sf on Singapore highway, usually cruising ard 110kmh, I will be at max gear 4. Seldom use 5/6 if you want to ride at legal speed.

Think is ok for you to use gear 5 to travel if you feel comfort abt it. Don't worry about fuel.

U the guy who just bought the yellow sf?

When you buy this bike, fuel consumption is in your check list? Try to stay at 4th gear, anything above will get a high chance of speeding as she always wants you to push the limit.

4th gear is a healthy pace to move ard town but not for morning and knock off traffic. Still this bike is a killer. Oh btw my sfs clock 287.7 full tank, literally no petrol. Riding habbit is around heavy traffic with occasional burst along the highway.

My reserve lights turn on around 190-200. Haha. I seldom even use g4. But being say that, still gives around 12-13km/litre.

hmm all right.. just pumped today. 15.89L and my mileage clocked was 278kms. so mine is about 17-18km per litre. so full tank if i round out to 18km/L is 297kms.. okay la not bad.. haha..

I currently have stock cans on. I do have a pair of carbon termis (which are not meant for street use) but I got fined once and then got tired of watching out for LTA officials and coppers while riding. So the extra pair of termis are sleeping at home. If anyone ones to purchase it, let me know. Thanks.

guys, the owner's manual states 2.5 bar for front and rear pressure for tyres. which is about 36psi.

when i got the bike off minerva, the man told me pump 32psi front and rear.

what are the pressure of your tyres? assuming they are the stock ones (diablo corsa)
