Hi everybody, I'm currently taking my Class 3 from a private instructor. Just curious about those who have both license, How long and how much do you take to get a class 3 manual license? My TP is on end of december, and i have only taken 3 lessons so far, any ideas on average how many lesson do i have to take a week or a month?

And 2nd question is i roughly got the hang of clutch control but sometimes kan chiong still tend to stall or over rev. Anybody can give me some ideas on how to handle to steering wheel? e.g doing a right turn or U-turn need to steer how many round?

Bro, the easiest "to not" feel stress t move ur car is to releasing clutch in 2 step. realease ur clutch 2 time instead of 1 time . means release , release further. try it , its really useful . i gotten my class 3 with $800 inclusive of $201 paid to instructors on the day itself for tp . i went only for 10 lessons and still did it . im sure u can do it too.

chiong ur practical on the last 2 weeks

overtake ? :dot: you will never overtake any last vehicle because u will never be the first no matter how .

When making right turns, it's important to start turning the steering wheel at the right time. Try not to worry about the angle or how many rounds you need to turn the steering wheel. Just start turning the steering wheel when your right side mirror is approximately in line with the kerb, continue turning it until the car is facing the right direction (usually 90 degrees if you're turning in the circuit) and release.

When doing U-turns just use full lock--turn the steering wheel until it can't go any further, and then release it when the car has turned 180 degrees.

I completed 21 lessons at BBDC and took my first Class 3 test in about 2 months. Altogether I took the test 3 times and got my license in 4 months (total cost around $1,800 I think). The weird thing is, I had no trouble at all during the lessons and almost never knocked down poles during parking or struck the kerb, plus I had, ahem, some independent driving experience, but I kept doing dumb things that caused me to fail the tests. Whereas for Class 2B, I was a hopeless student but managed to pass on the first try. Go figure.

If you can't really get a feel for the car yet, just try to do exactly as the instructors say. I recall the BBDC instructors had a very specific set of instructions for each course in the circuit, telling you where the kerb should be in relation to the bonnet (S course) or side mirrors (right turns), for example. If your instructor doesn't tell you such things, ask.

Good luck!
