Hi bros, i dont know if i post it at the right place, but i got a very headache problem(Not those radiator or common rvfproblems) with my RVF.

This is what happening, everytime after 6k rpm(Max 14.5k touch red), My engine will start to vibrate till very jialat. I can feel my handlebar, footrest, frame and whole bike shaking. For gear1, the vibration might not be so obvious as the enginebrake is strong . However, During gear5&6 which engine is rather stable at ard 5k rpm, you will immediate feel the vibration+shaking sound comes after 6k. The speed is like only 100km/h and its quite impossible for a 400cc that the engine will feel stress.

I went ard to ask diff shop mech but most of them are wild guessing. I just wanna see anyone experience this before or any bros over here somehow know the problem with it? Any comments is appreciate, just trying to get more ideas to troubleshoot this problem. If not, it will be a huge headache when i travelling up to north with normal touring spd for 2a.

Thanks in advance!:):):)

your chain? if nt mite be inside prob. if ur scare4d, bo pian have to open up and see. valve clearance?

Just BEcause I fOllOw The speed LIMIT DoesnT mEan i am slow!!

Hi bros, thanks for the reply. I did ask Clifford(K&T) isit valve clearance is up , but he said its not. He said it might be the geardrive or some gear below very rought, thats why. For chain, maybe you care to explain more?

is your problem only happens at 5-6k rpm..on every gear..?or just at particular gear..

or is it happends at speed over x km/hr?

Hmm, should be every gear as he stated gear one not so obvious but gear5&6 very obvious. Everytime after 6k rpm, dontknow what so strong with his rvf will cost it to vibrate so vigorously. RVF too powerful isit.:cheeky:

If this happens at 5-6k rpm..on every gear....My guess maybe is CDI problem....unlikely all ur gears spoilt at the same time....

yeah the chain and sprocket...check the condition..could be due for replacement..

it gets worse at higher spreeds..

i have seen a vfr...mech put in over size chain on the sprocket..

check your clutch plate..a slim chance that it is worn..

Hi bros, thanks for all the reply.

My Rvf will vibrate at all gear whenever 6k. Chop Chop guarantee will happen D:

Erm, Care to explain about CDI?

For chain, i changed X-ring 525 one month ago. But i realise it became very loose very fast. However, it doesn't look like the chain have slack. Its more like the parts where we tighten the chain loosen itself. Any chance of this happening?

For clutch plate, will it cause such a great vibration ? Cause i rode quite a few worn out clutch bike. The bike won't be so reactive but never feel strong vibration like this. But might be changing it soon!

Anw bros, thanks for all the replies! Hope to see more comments/solutions! ^^

Abnormal Vibrations - Vibrations caused by a component rotating the same speed as the engine's crankshaft, a belt-driven accessory, or a gear-driven component that is out-of-round, out-of-balance. Abnormal engine vibrations can also be caused by piston slap, excessive valve lash, excessive bearing clearances, deformation of parts under stress, crankshaft and camshaft deformations, etc.

Normal Vibrations - Vibrations caused by normal engine operating characteristics such as: cylinders firing events, rocking motions, crankshaft deflection, exhaust pulsations, etc. All engines have vibrations which are a normal part of the engine running; however, they should not be felt in the passenger compartment. Click here to see which vibrations are normal. If the source of the vibration is a normal engine operating characteristic, do not attempt engine repairs because there is nothing wrong. Instead, the transfer path for the vibration must be repaired.

Any bros can clarify this? or smth easier to understand (:

that reminds me...crank shafts and big/small ends of con rod...they do go out of round..

regrinding crank shaft usually done at every 200,000km...is your bike that young??

symptom...vibrations and loss of power..

Sorry bro... I go into CDI to early.

1st to check the mechanical parts.

Make sure there are no missing or loose screws & nuts - engine mount, wheels axle etc...

U replace chain recently, hv u replace front & rear sprocket?

How is the condition of front & rear tyres, rims & bearings?

X-ring woundn't loose so fast, u pick up very fast? or ur load too heavy? hv u check ur rear sus setting & any oil lacking?

Omg yah. vibrations & loss of power is happening to my bike. My rvf totally dont have the mid-range power of a RVF. Currently the mileage is ard 120,000km. you mean i need to open up and grind some engine parts? or they are running out of way. hmm

Hmm, all Chain,Sprocket,Tyres,Bearings changed. But the rear rim i think got abit "not straight" .

I don't know why my X-ring keep loosen out and hit smth whenever i off the throttle. I seldom sudden-throttle nor i'm weighing 150kg. I do take care of the chain and lube after rain. Is the part that hold the hub faulty?

If u can feel hitting smth - check ur rear sus.

If u dont how to check ur rims, bearings, types, sus, fork & brake, i suggest u let ur mech to do for u...

if your rims are not round...that may be the reason for the vibrations..

i suggest you get someone in a car to observe your rim..while u ride

if it is wobling...if can describe it that way...you may find all the wheel bearings..chains..tyres..all wearing out fast..
