Please change the tire. If the hole is as big as you say it is, then it cannot be patched up safely.

Your tires are definitely not "unpuncturable". However it does leak air more slowly than tube tires, which goes flat almost immediately if a nail finds it's way into the tire.

Can someone tell me what is "sproket booster"? Never knew that sprockets needs boosting.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

sorry to hear about ur tires. but sh*t happens dude.. I have personally went thru about 3 different incidents of such. Oncee required me to change the tire itself as the long nail went in the tire, bent and came out from another part of the tire...

Then another time, I had to patch the tire from within the inside of the tires. Usually, u can still use the brown gooei thing to patch from outside. However, my mech explained that certain tires like racetecs or pirelli have to be patched from within. This is because the carcass of the tires are lined with steel belts/cables. Michelin pilot power in the other hand uses kevlar.. fyi

Keep the rubber side down'

yes sometimes the holes are too big to be patched... i change two REAR in one month!! cos kena a hole which is too big.. i used TWO worms to patch it.. still come out thus need to change the tyre... if hole is not too big, can use the worm to patch it up or better still take out the whole tyre and patch from inside with those patches like handyplast like that... best if got $$, change tyre!!! no worries after that, just dun kena another nail!!!

btw, can get a tyre patch kit and an airpump and keep in the bike... may come in handy!!
