Perhaps u might want to use a racing cone airfilter and fabricate a simple air box cut out from plastic or use aluminium/metal sheet.

Can you try and seal the leak with silicone or put a plastic shield over the top of the airbox? Sounds like an easy fix.

While you can DIY or use cone filter instead, it's unlikely our "Kopitiam Engineering" can achieve Hemholtz Resonance plus ram-air that the factory airbox is tuned to create. Just imagine some sort of wierd science that increases intake efficiency by say, 15%.

the k&n too much airflow? then maybe you can tune your carb?

or you can try buying the stock krr air filter... my brother is using. 10 bucks only i think, but you must oil yourself...

Used to ride the same bike but never experienced this. What usually happens is that water will seep through the keyhole of the tank and make its way into the tank and when the engine runs it goes into the carb as well. Usually people who experience water going through the air filter are those who uses the cone air filter and no airbox. When it rains the cone air filter will get wet and makes it hard to get the engine running. Even if it did it will slowly die. No one I know of using the airbox have experienced what you are experiencing. Even those I know that does not have an air filter in their airbox!

Tats true bro.. Bt wat i knw is tat water will seep through the keyhole and also the side of the gas cap bt it wont make way through the fuel cuz Krr tank has a so called double layer. And if u culd notice, below the tank, thres a small tube hole whre actuali, rainy drops will come out frm thre.. Same goes while we washing our bike.. Wat i mean is tat, not so cun2 100% water wont enters the fuel lah.. Tats for the ori tank, Local not sure..

ori or local tank no difference. This is all myth. Both holds petrol. If the hole is for rain water to come out. Then why won't petrol come out as well? Both are liquid right? Unless got special sensor can differentiate water and petrol. The tube below is actually if I remembered correctly for overflow purposes. Its when you guys go in johor pump like there is no tomorrow up to the brim and some even more it will flow out from that tube.

Does your airbox have a cover? Do you have fairings? By right water should not be able to go in the airbox even if you splash water. Otherwise those who wash bike all got water in airbox already. :faint:
