Dear all,

I want to buy this for my bike.

Any comment?

It's not about the money, it's about the look and usefulness.

it reminisces the ol' days of racing where the rider in his half-helmet and goggles tucks behind it and twist the throttle to victory. the product advert describes it as having "ample wind protection" and "less lift and drag" and judging from some good reviews of riders who have this on their bikes ,u cant go wrong.form and function.

You may wanna direct your questions to 'bikerblues'. He is the owner of the bike below. He ordered his online and had it color sprayed to match his bike color (can't see clearly in this pic).

But he is overseas now so he may not reply you immediately.

His is the brand Zero Gravity.has that 'retro modern' styling to me

Wha..you have pic of my bike dude :o

To the person looking for the fairing - this one is from the US and if you search airtech-streamling fairings on Google, you can find it.

It is a direct replica of the mold of R90S cockpit cowl which is in my opinion, timeless and how I wanted my bike to look... :)

Hello Mamat,

The supplier for the screen is Zero Gravity. The fairing on the other hand is from Airtech USA.

Cheers :)

Hi Dan,

We never met, but I heard of your name many times... haha...

The Scout fairing emailed me after I sent them my enquires, they say they are behind order 13 weeks and the freight to SIngapore is $150USD.

Which means if I order from them, it will take at least 4mths to reach, and the total cost is 599usd + 150usd. Napshot.

I have checkout the fairing you mentioned...but they do not customise for K75....may i know how much you bought yours?

I am seriuosly considering the scout fairing although it will cost about $1k to bring that in....

BTW... I need to reset my keys to all the panniers lock barrels...anyone knows where can i get help? I prefer not to file the pins....

Thanks.

Hey Dude,

I'm not Daniel....

Anyway..mamat posted the link above you could ask if they'd customise for you...

For the panniers, I'd ask PML for advice as for the model that I ride, they could reset the barrel to make one key fit all but not sure about K75 pannier system so no comment..

All the best in your project :D

Hiya,

The locksmith around LAB area can help. Just bring in your entire panniers to them and ask them to re-key. $10 per lock. If you want to save $$, spend an afternoon re-aligning the tabs (I assume that these are the pins you were referring to). Not difficult although you will probably need some spare tabs to play with. Tip: keep the key in the lock to retain the tabs in the meantime.

You riding a K75? I saw one just (Sunday, about 9 a.m.) zooming along PIE towards Tampines. Single digit plate "3". Nice ride.

Cheers

Fairing kit unpainted cost me 249 USD before freight..must cheaper than the parabelum. In this case you can order just the fairing minus the brackets and have seng kwang fab them for you to fit.. IMO, the do a better job as the standard brackets was crap and I got mine done @ seng kwang..

All the best in your search and do post a pic of your K75...is it the C model as in K75C?

HI,

Thanks for your info.

Mine is a K75 basic model, so it's really quite bare with only a front headlight.

I am now using the super big BMW windscreen which I hope to change.

I think your fairing is really nice, will consider that.. .

So your product is $350sgd (249usd), assuming the freight is $150sgd (100usd), and assuming Sengkwang charge me $100, the total will be approx $600.

The parabellum scout fairing is more upright without the retro round curve bend... both are nice,... ... let me think about it....

Thanks.

No worries and absolutely welcome..that'd be about the price and do remember to factor in spraypainting cost..

We should meet as I'd like to see your bike.. I think K75 regardless of whether basic or S or RT are cool bikes and should be kept as classics..

Weekends are good for catching up esp sunday afternoons. PM me and we can set time/location. Another forumer here also meets up with me and some of my friends occassionally on sundays too..

cheers :)

Hiya,

This is a nice simple shield for the K75:

Yes, Sunday afternoons are good. Sometimes I will do a fuel run on Fridays or Saturdays' nights. Shall we have supper this Friday night at GP? Likely to do a fuel run, subject to weather.

Yes... the original K75 fairing you have there looks great!!

I also found this Rifle fairing... think I going for this .... want more wind protection.... looks subjective.... but I guess more afforable than Parabellum scout fairing...

Very tough call.

The main factor will be the height of the screen and how tall are you; wind-buffeting is no joke, and I have experienced it several times to know that it can be bad and totally messes with the ride. In those situations I either cut down or remove the shield and let the helmet's aerodynamics do the wind-cutting.

Cheers
