Think of it, I was just a kid when I had my 1st encounter with BMW bike.

Last Sunday, while washing my bike, a kid, guess less than 5yrs, was shouting to his father "FATHER, FATHER, BMW MOTORCYCLE". Hope 20yrs later, he will goes around telling people tt he owns a BMW bike bcos he cannot forget a Mystic Red BMW.

Taking a chance here man. Wanna get something that will be service by an existing agent/distributor down the road. And unless they have "Big Mountain" behind them, exotic brands might not sell enough for the existing dealership to maintains its hold. And then what, the brand get passed around. Each new ownership might not honour the previous purchase, blah blah blah....... you know the story. Worst case, the brand get withdrawn by the manufacturer and disappears from our market and then how......

Best to stick to OEM? But they are built to a cost (defined as compromised), push them harder and they squeel and break, and might take you along with it. some OEM cost just as much as aftermarket and not half as good.

What we are looking for in aftermarket are not just for better performance but also the capability to absorb "a bigger margin of error". Guess we have to pay extra$$ for more zing.

:giddy:

:sian: no choice lah, seem like we LL.

I agreed with what you had told me last nite. We should not be affected by some and stopping ourselve from hving fun.

some1 spray above design at Ubi on a CBR900RR, I lost his contact, his name is Ah Beng, a Malaysian, very skillful and charges is reasonable, my sai tao and old panniers done by him. Think the shop name starts with something like - GOLD SPRAY OR GOLDEN SPRAY LAH, quite near to Chua's shop.

But you need to talk to Chua if he's willingly to help you to dismantle your bike.
