The years thunder by.

The drams of youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of patience.

Before we know it, the tomb is sealed.

Where, then, lies the answer?

In choice. Which shall it be: bankruptcy of purse or bankruptcy of life?

Aiyo, this is classic design. Just remind me of the good old days.

:lovestruck:

"Classic" being only skin deep.

Its a big bang engine and the crank turns the other way to minimise gyroscopic effect. Started of with an "intelligent" clutch but scrap it soon, prefering the so call "standard" slip and the rider's left hand

Powered by a Ducati 992cc Dual Spark V-Twin (the air-cooled unit used in Ducati's Multistrada, Monster 1000 and 1000 SS), the DB5's frame uses a combination of a tubular chromoly trellis structure and CNC machined aluminum plates, and the swingarm is also a tubular trellis structure. Although no official weight figures have been released, the DB5 is expected to be one of the lightest 1000cc V-Twins ever produced.

The journalists enjoyed riding the ER-6n so much that we were really pushing hard through the twisty roads, playing and laughing in our helmets. The bike is very capable in this environment, but it did highlight the fact that the ER-6n does not have the braking power of a modern sport bike. The brakes are only adequate, and a hard core canyon carver might need to beef up the brakes (such as with different pads, brake lines, etc.).

Well well... didnt maintain. Dun wanna stress it. So once I touched 200 I kept it there for less than a min... and I let the trottle go....

What???!!! Slightly faster? Have you even ridden with someone on one of those things? I raced a guy on a 1150GS when my old K100 was still on the road. Top speed on the K was 220km/h and the GS pulled away from me easily.

GSGABES, you got alot more to go, 240km/hr?

Since you mentioned, I think many like to follow Ms Mercedes-Benz design for many years, starts from :

then double headlight (1 big 1 small) :

The frame, swingarm and the position of the suspension reminds me of my LC kia in the late 80s.

Review says not to switch to synthetic engine oil until u have 20,000km on your bike. It's time Bertha has a taste of synthetic oil. Sent in for servicing this morning with my own supply of oil - Mobil One 5W-50. Hopefully, this will extend the life of my engine, and allow it to run cooler. Normal operating temp currently is abt 5-6 bars on the temp gauge. I wonder will it go down to 4-5 bars now. Looks like I'm the 1st one among us to switch to synthetic. Will observe and be sensitive to any changes (if any) from now on. Will keep you guys updated.

Test Period : 27 July 2005 to (Test End Date yet to be decided)

Test Subject - 1998 BMW R1100RT

Lubricant used - Mobil One 5W-50 full-synthetic oil with Super-Sync. 4L pack. S$89 from Mobil Station East Coast Rd

Another BMW, :slapforehead: 7yrs owning the same bike think I had enough. Next should be something less "interesting", "slower", "more problem" and "no support from agent".

If parts are ordered from other source, I may like to hold on to the "HOTEL" booking. But from our dear friend - Perfectly Maonful Lady, I lost all confidence.

So, instead of waiting, better to cancel it.

You guys enjoy.

Yo SDR,

Don't be so negative man....Everything breaks down, regardless of $$ spend......

At least you'll be finding your way home in comfort, might even intentionally turn right to head back North instead of South back here and get yourself even more "lost"....

Who knows?

Enjoy the ride man!!
