any reviews of the GS650 Dakar vs the GS650 Funduro?

get the black gs1100 sellin for 13.5k really worth it ;)

I owned an R1150GS for while but had to sell when I came to SGP because of rediculous 3 year law for imprting vehicles.

Anyway the bike was great as long as you have the financial backing to keep it regularly serviced. The transverse 'kick' when you blip the throttle becomes quite reassuring after a while. One thing though if you inside leg measurement (scrotum to slippers) is less than 32 inches you may be in trouble at the traffic lights, the bike weighs in at 240kg which is a lot to control on the tips of your Birkenstocks, but obce on the move its as steady as a rock.

Beemers a V. expensive in SGP but seems the street cred of owning one outweighs the financial disadvantage. Maybe cheaper to emigrate to Europe and run one over there!

If in doubt open the throttle!

For those who are considering the BMW F650 may like to RECONSIDER :

This is my first scooter. I have a Goldwing and the GT200. I am not riding my Goldwing because the Vespa is such a great commuter. It runs 65-70 on the freeway easy and gets almost 70mpg. Have had it to 77mph according to the speedo. It feels a lot like a BMW F650 I used to have...really. The handling is good with decent brakes. I love the twist and go in trafic. The GT200 is stable at speed, much more so than you would think. Skip the cheap Vespa topcase. I got it - it works but aftermarket would be better. I think. Overall a very good scooter but like I said my first so I am comparing to motorcycles I have owned... Recommended.

Mmmmm .. compliments for Vespa - Insult to F650

Think that article is strictly for publication in Scooter magazine / forum.

Ya, u r rite, guess he has no choice, inorder to blend into the Vespa community, he has to say something good about vespa.

Just like here, once you says something bad about BMW, you are out.

:sorry: I can't be bother. Good or bad - I will judge it myself.
