Juz collected my ride from PML ... labour for 40k inspection was $210.00, including valve clearances adjustments. The more pricey small items are renewing fuel filter ($56.00), fuel filter ($30), fuel hose ($64.00) and other small stuff like gasket, clip etc.

It adds up ... total damage was 6 buck short of half grand ... ah well .. peace of mind till 50k.

Was it juz me or there's now an audible ticking when i ride? according to Kris, my clearances were way off.

Cheers, and Merry X'Mas

Don't worry about it, boxer characteristic. You can read up on more intel at ADVrider. Do a search for "ticking noise"

I have been searching high and low for software like this. Imagine, you are having fun in oversea without your dearest"s" (some may hv more than 1 dearest, kekeke), they may be worried about you, so when they miss you, they can just log on and check your position in Malaysia or whatsoever. If touch wood, your bike breaks down or you met an accident, rescue will be much faster.

Best of all, this software comes free, really thanks to the creative but setting up is really

:giddy: guess only Pc expert knows what's going on.

Hi all! Merry Christmas! saw this, so thought of sharing....

"Seen at Motorrad Central in Glasgow today, was a spanking new Graphite Grey BMW R1200GS, hot off the production line, with a number of rather obvious (& welcome) production mod's.....

1) Delete hazard switch (already reported elsewhere)

2) Enhanced paint finish to all areas, particularly frame, engine, fork yoke & bottoms, handlebars etc......very noticably improved......

3) Delete 1200GS graphic from rear seat panel.

4) Different rear shock....smaller spring diameter and different pre-load adjuster.

5) Different rear shock plastic shroud....without 'flat spot' tyre clearance area.

6) Different front shock with smaller diameter spiring.

7) Completely new side stand...thicker & shorter tube (due to frame changes)....different footprint......

8 ) New centre stand.....straight crossbar instead of curved.....more robust overall.....

9) New frame weld on's at the bottom to support new side/centre stands.

10) Brushed stainless steel exhaust cover instead of chrome.

11) Relocation of rear brake light switch to behind frame element to keep away from potential impact.

12) More robust centre stand rubber stops, moved to offside.

Cyclop, you are absolutely right, it's the rider and not the bike.

Beautiful, very artistic, designer managed to blend in two bright colours, usual designer just like to use contrast colours. Guess this designer is a Tempter. He managed to make this fierce, devilsh bike looks so sweet.
