Had a nice short meet up with Phang on Saturday morning at the Turf city having Teh Peng.

Thank you Phang for the Teh peng, your drinks will be on me for the next meet up.

Turf city is a convenient place to meet up if riders are on the way to PML to pick up parts.

How about another meet up session this coming saturday morning? This time round how about the prata shop at Upper Thomson road at the junction between Yio Chu Kang Road, the actual location is Casaurina Road.

Nice to meet you too.

Is this the place that you are referring to?

Should be no problem to meet on the coming Saturday morning if the weather is fine:slurp:

hi all, need some advice. had some funny symptom. happen twice.

after riding for 100m or so, when I almost stop at junction, i close throttle and let engine brake to slow down the bike. suddenly engine cut off, and battery light turn on. after that when i cranked the engine cannot start. first time i push back the bike ard 100m, then i try again it can start. yesterday also same but i didnt push the bike, wait for ard 1 min, cranked still cannot. but when i clutch in, it can start. before happen i dont have problem cranked start for first time that morning. 1 time cranked to start the bike.

both happen on monday (23rd and 30th June), so i suspect maybe due to bike not running in weekend, and engine not fully warm up before riding. i read somewhere boxer engine no need to warm up, start and ride away, but no excessive throttle.

Postman rang my door bell at 8:05pm while I was having dinner and delivered this to me

I bought some small item and used vPost service this time, paid Singapore Post $24.23 for a 1.2kg parcel.

Hi Paul, those are the left and right grips came with the grip tube and throttle tube respectively.

Also,

- rubber diaphragms for the clutch and brake master cylinders

- big O ring for the fuel pump mounting plate

- rear wheel bolt X 4

- some small screws, bolts and nuts

- bottom left is the plastic plug for the rear wheel hub

vPost, in fact most of the courier services go by weight/dimension and charge you which ever higher, I guess your windshield took up much space in their cargo thus the $100 bill. For large or heavy items I will try not to use vPost

Hi there, recently got a preowned K series. Could i check what is the normal running temp? Seems that the temp shot up rather fast (close to red mark) in slow traffic. However, unsure whether the fan that kicked in helped in holding the needle from going to red? Thanks!

What is your bike?

Did your engine turn over when you crank it or is it completely dead?

How about your ABS lights? Abnormal ABS lights for my old R points to a dying battery that has less than a week of life.

Which model? they do run a bit hot at standstill/slow moving traffic but when you are on the move the temp should fall rather quickly.

R1150R. it just crank but unable to start.normally it stat after a crank of 1 or 2 sec. no other light indicator show abnormality. the battery just change last year, 2 year warrantty from PML.

Hi Lightspeed,

How much did you pay for the battery at PML? A 2 year warranty is a good deal if they cover on road assistance and battery replacement if the dead battery leave you stranded.

A battery from a battery shop at AMK autopoint only provides limited warranty of half year for a maintenance free car battery. The warranty only covers bring in batteries.

Anyway, I've a "Dunno What Never Heard Before Sounds like Japanese" brand 20AH maintenance free battery in my R1100R.

Always starts only at the 2nd crank (not a battery issue), more like bike sitting for longer than 24 hrs issue. At the 2nd crank, the abs lights will be flashing, a fail voltage level check performed by the ECU. After warming up or at the nearest lights, I will turn off the ignition and crank again. This time round the ABS lights will go off after the bike if put into motion.

Its a LT..observed that too just now..it did cool down quite fast. But kinda scary as it seems so last minute. Appricate your reply bro!
