Hi Lightspeed,

How much did you pay for the battery at PML? A 2 year warranty is a good deal if they cover on road assistance and battery replacement if the dead battery leave you stranded.

A battery from a battery shop at AMK autopoint only provides limited warranty of half year for a maintenance free car battery. The warranty only covers bring in batteries.

Anyway, I've a "Dunno What Never Heard Before Sounds like Japanese" brand 20AH maintenance free battery in my R1100R.

Always starts only at the 2nd crank (not a battery issue), more like bike sitting for longer than 24 hrs issue. At the 2nd crank, the abs lights will be flashing, a fail voltage level check performed by the ECU. After warming up or at the nearest lights, I will turn off the ignition and crank again. This time round the ABS lights will go off after the bike if put into motion.

Previous owner bought it in July 07, and I was told the battery got 2 years warranty. price 206 after 10% discount. Part no 61212346800 Battery (12V 19AH 100A)

Hi all,

I"m looking for the BMW Scooter C1. It's the bike with the sunroof and looks like a mini-car on 2 wheels.

Is there a 2nd hand market in Singapore?

What is the average price for a 5 year old bike?

I'm inclined to believe that pml doesn't stock it based on their website.

Thanks for your help

Cheers

hi everyone, need help regarding 650gs, those who own one, is it a good bike for touring as i,m afraid underpower? thanks

Not underpowered at all. I couple people in Germany have it already. Guess what - not one bit slower than the R 1100 GS.

BMW R 12 GS: White Power 4014 Emulsion + Wilbers 642 shocks, Hepco&Becker cases on Seng Kwan modified H&B racks, Ilmenberger carbon rear hugger, Pivotpegz II, Sedcem screen with MRA spoiler, SW-Motech Crashbars, Hella FF50 'Fernblau' edition.

R1150R. it just crank but unable to start.normally it stat after a crank of 1 or 2 sec. no other light indicator show abnormality. the battery just change last year, 2 year warrantty from PML.

Then your prob is not the batt. Since you can still crank, also not a prob with the circuits. Sorry, can't help you.

I had changed my batt "outside" once for my R1100R. Same prob as yours just after a couple of weeks. Went back to PML to get another one. No prob after that. The voltage might be the same, but the current differs!

I have a bag of 3M expanding type disposable ear plugs. Roll it into a stick and it will hold the shape for 2 to 3 second before it expand back to the original shape. Very effective, when these plug expanding in my ear canals, it is like turning the volume of your TV down to the minimum

Hello,

I would like to know whether the agent for BMW will supply parts to bikes that are not serviced there. My friend asked for me to buy 2 BMW parts, and was told that there is a minimum order of 10 pieces. It seemed that there is a minimum order policy.

Please correct me if that is wrong.

Thank you.

no min order policy...... you just go to the parts counter and ask for it. its better if you can give them the parts number. if they dont have stock, they will order it for you.
