Dear all,

 

Thinking of driving up to Rompin with my family. Any update on the road conditions? My fishing guide called me said that the rivers are swollen, so I do not know if the eastern highway are flooded in any way?

Hi Coolcat,

 

I jus came back from a trip on route 3.

My opinion is that it is driveable on the main route 3. However once you veer off to the smaller roads, you will notice that the water level has yet to subside from the previous day/week flooding. It will take sometime for the water to completely subside therefore you might be caught offguard if there is another heavy rain coupled with high tide.

Will be sending my bike in for its first inspection soon. May I know if there is a need to cover up the spotlights on our GSA and if the electric horn(the one that sound like a truck) will be able to pass inspection? Any other things for me to look out for / change / hide before sending in the bike for inspection?

inspection is actually a crab thing.i always try to be humble & with a ready smile.most of the time get away with it.cheers & ride safe.

If e spotlight can't pass inspection then they can't pass the homolagation.

The spotlight just unplug n remove, it wont pass inspection.

For my previous R1150GS I had an aftermarket spotlight I have no problem clearing inspection for passed 7 years. As for my aftermarket horn I run it parallel to the stock horn so when come to inspection time I just pull out one of the cable. But now I have a problem with my new bike PML cut away my stock horn.

Pass Inspection without trouble.

No need to cover e Spotlight or Foglight... with after market loud horn and exhaust.

Thanks for the heads-up ... yes, the rivers are swollen and my intended boat ride now un-doable ...

Guys i am currently riding a Fazer 600.. I am planning to get a RT1100R 1999 model. how much should i be paying for it and is the bike good for singapore use? Comments please brothers.. i am worried that it is not a good buy or its problematic

Currently riding a 2000 model myself, but planning to sell it to upgrade to 12RT. Good for local use, if you planning on long trips, may want to make sure abs working....and also the ignition timing sensor.
