The 2005 R1200RT of course. I've never compared them like this b4. Now that you've done it for me, the choice is crystal clear. Nov 2006..........

I suddenly has this thought of 'collecting' RTs. Keep Bertha, get another R1150RT, then also get R1200RT when it's available. LOL. Just a dream lah...financially unable to do it yet.

Yes, put them together and you will find that the old RT looks aging. The new 1 has the futuristic looks and somehow, it just reminds me of the new BMW car. The Art Director blend their bike and car designs into a whole picture. Another salute to him.

Imagine yourself sitting there at a studio...sketching...drawing...conceptualising... the design and looks for what would be one of the best bike in the world... it must be one damn satisfying job...if not pressurizing due to all the expectations and high standards expected from you. But once you read all the nice comments/reviews after the bike is launched, u feel so satisfied.

One of the downside of sending in for work outside? no matter who c*** up, consumers like us always lose out.

Bike was sent in for a minor overhaul, as I mentioned, layman like me will take about 3 days, professional tech may requires only 8hrs or max 2 days, 1 day cooling off and another day fixing.

Sadly, not to my expectation :

07.03.05 - bike was sent in,

08.03.05 - tech can't open exhaust

09.03.05 - managed to open it with external help as special tool required.

11.03.05 - tech dismantled it and found tt rocker arms nuts, bearings need to replace, okay, acceptable, requires 2 days to notice.

16.03.05 - Parts ordered and tech took 5 days to know what parts to order? Okay, never mind, accept it.

29.03.05 - Waited 2 weeks. Called to enquire and think all hv forgotten that my bike was there waiting for spares, all seem like waiting for the sky to drop and the PIC not around. Operator told me that message will be delivered to the PIC and he will get back to me 1st thing in the morning.

30.03.05 - Waited, Waited till PM, no1 called. So I called. No ready answer, 30mins later, he called to advise that 1 had arrived and 2 other spares ETA (Estimate Time Arrival) spore on 6th May 2005. Repeat 6th May 2005. Got really frustrated and queried him, told me that they can't control shipment, well, nice and very irresponsible answer. Called the Agent, explained the situation and quite happy to know that they will expediate the shipment. Or guess i should b thankful tt after 2weeks of waiting they decided to expedite & may b possible to arrive 2 weeks later.

I don't wish to comment & dont wish to see any1 comment here, from above, you guys knows what the F***k is going on. So guys, guess I will be riding the bike by end of April 2005 or after 6th May 2005.

:cheer:

I can save another 2 weeks or 1month 6.days of petrol, how? is this positive posting?

And the view..... breathtaking!!!! Malaysia is a very beautiful country, many parts still unspoilt by human activities ( roads excluded, kekeke ). The best part to me was after Fraser and heading to Cameron..... out of this world man!!!!! Long bridge spanning across valleys, side roads cut into hill slope, there's even a part that reminded me of Hover Dam over in Colorado........ outstanding man!!

PL, salute to your Homeland man :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
