Hi guys I want to highlight 2 things

 

1stly. I understand that there are 2 mouths for the engine oil. Earlier this month while I was riding halfway, i started to fishtail. I was at about 50 to 60. I was shocked because I wasn't travelling fast . Then came a traffic light. I stopped. I fish tailed again when I was moving off. So i figured something was wrong. I stopped at the side and realised my engine oil was flowing. It was coming out from the front mouth nearer to the fender. So i had it towed. Anyone has encountered the same problem. I was pretty worried it will happen again after that. It's especially dangerous if that happened on the high way.

 

Secondly. Recently my bike chain keep on rattling on the frame

Is that normal? Supposed to have a rubber on the swing arm is it? My rubber is gone. But the thing is. My chain is not slacked. Its normal. Any advice? The chain rattled on the frame until on of the metal parts that was supposed to support the rubber I think, is about 1 fifth gone. Thanks bros for reading.

 

1. Could you follow the oil leak to its source?if you say nearest to the fender that's the oil tank drain plug? Check to see if its tightened and torqued properly. Worse case is the chassis is cracked from over tightening. There's 3 drain plugs for drz btw bro.

 

2. Think on most supermotos the chain does rest on the swing arm due to its long travel rear suspension. That's why the rubber is in place to avoid direct chain-swing arm contact. Better check if replacement of the rubber guide is needed eh..

But anyway, the flowing was because the whole screw came off. I has a replacement screw and everything is working rather fine now. Just checking if it may be something else or if someone has the same experience. For your reply on the chain. I guess the rubber dropped that's why. Thanks for the info ticks

I hope u got the zeta magnetic plugs while u were at it. They have the magnet to get all the metallic crap in the engine oil. And the bolt head has a hole through it to lock wire it after oil replacement. With the lock wire, u want it to leak also cannot. Lol.

Last time I just fasten the base plate to the back of the bike where the storage bag is.. No need rack.

Drz is generally a noisy bike, just have to make sure is the noise you're referring to a normal one or abnormal only.

May I know which shop sell good second hand tyres ?

I got a pair of Michelin Pilot Power which I had use for abt 6 mths plus but however the rear tyre was almost bald while the front seems to have abt 80% of thread left.

Was thinking of getting a second hand rear tyre and use it for a few more mths before getting a new set.

Hi guys, the other the front screw came out and the engine leaked dry. Today the screw under the engine came out and the same thing happened. The engine oil leaked dry again. Is this a common problem for this bike??? It's quite worrying because it can be very dangerous. Can anyone advise?

 

Ticks previously you were saying about the magnetic plugs from raptor. I'll definitely get those. But is there any temporary solution??? Cos I'm staying in the east and work is quite hectic.

Hi guys, i've beem experiencing this major problem on road at times recently or rather this few days.

My bike kept on jerking hard suddenly when i try to throttle more to gain more speed to change higher gear. Subsequently i try gentle throttle and it jerk too,like its gonna break down. And not long the bike just die off even i try to down gear and slow down the speed.stopping by the side.i try to switch on the bike but just cant fire up (fuel ,spark plug,batt all fine n enuff) . Shaking the bike , playing the reserve tank switch all i did. Then 5-10 mins it will fire up and good to go again.

Please enlighten me. I feel my safety is at stake

You didnt mention air? sounds like the AF mixture is cocked up though...need an expert to pin point though..
