bro, fuel consumption is already very low on scooters, and SYM give good fuel mileage. Whichever model you choose, the difference is not big. 200cc scooters are the best already (balance between power and fuel economy). Just buy one that you like the feel, like the looks, and enjoy the ride :)

if u intend to ride up north, please do get a larger tank. if its our sunny island, no difference.

Hi, I would like to ask the following questions;

What's the usual maintanence for scooters, normal chain driven bikes are eo, chain lubes etc.

and what's the average cost of a visit to the bikeshop?

What are the things to look out for when riding a maxi, Intending on a GTS200. if it's good enough.

And last one, whats the roughy fuel consumption for GTS 200 or EVO200?

Hi bro,

u got 2A licence?if yes...try get joymax 300evo instead of gts200. this 2 bikes are similar design except headlight. But 300cc give u more decent power with much better fuel comsumption compare to 200cc. my full tank is 12L too, can get about 380km per tank everytime. so rougly is about 31++km/L.mostly i cruise highway at 100kmh @ 6000rpm.

The proper name for the model is actually Joymax/GTS EVO 300 according to the SYM site. It's really a clumsy way to name a bike, especially with the inclusion of the "/".

They are now calling it New GTS/Joymax 300i (The EVO has disappeared!). Wonder how much it costs, and whether it is already in Singapore. Anyone?

I was scouting around for SYM gts 200.

ASphoon quoted higher than MAh.

MAh give 4% for new SYM.

ASphoon have used bike 2010 for $5500. Can take or not?

oil change indicator lights up every 1000km, as according to manual, and i have tested it myself. if your indicator is not consistent, then it means (i) the indicator is spoilt, or (ii) someone pressed your oil change indicator or maybe u accidentally pressed it, so it has been reset.

in any case, the best approach is to note the mileage yourself to know when it is time to change.

Hi Bro,

you SHOULD change the tires. The OEM tires sucks to the max especially in the rain - totally not meant for agressive riding or high speed riding. I have skidded on the OEMs (my style of riding is aggressive). My defacto tires are now Michelins - I give them double thumbs up.

Everything else on the bike u can keep it as stock. No need to change anything unless you got plenty of spare cash to play. Anyway, don't change when it is still under warranty lah.

Enjoy riding!
