this IPSC , can't I just walk in, pay & start shooting? :confused:

u can walk in but it will be good to inform them earlier as they need to arrange for coach and stuff like that.

 

For every weapon, they do have a monthly test. So if so happen u bump into their test date, you will need to wait for them to finish...which can be few hours later....:smile:

I will be going to bkt timah range on one of the sat/sun afternoon. wana try down-the-line (shotgun) where the targets slightly slower. thk cost ard $60 for 50bullets.

 

any1 interested to join me go try?

I'm going to Bkt Timah Range to shoot Down-The-Line on 9 June '07 in afternoon. Any1 interested?

 

Breakdown of Cost:

 

Ammunition and Clays (26 shots) - $18

Rental of weapons - $10

Day Fee Card - $10

Coaching Fee (Optional) - $25 per hour

 

Total: $63 (if no coaching, then $38)

 

My personal opinion is to have a coach if you never shoot before. However the coaching fee can be shared between 2 persons if I'm not wrong. 1 hour coaching is more than enough so dun wori ^_^

Anyone took up Air rifle / Air pistol shooting as hobby? I just joined the safra shooting club. (newbie on the block). pls keep me inform of your shoot activities. i am open to all. now newbie so choose air pistol becos it is the cheapest hobby.

 

By the way, for all the senior bro. any idea how or where to buy 2nd hand air pistol. I learn from the lecturer that 1 cost more then 1k. I am thinking of using the club pistol for 5 month. then if i confirm i like this hobby, i will invest in a air pistol.

 

the theory is simple. for eg: every day go ssdc and use their bike also sian. i would love to buy my bike too, right?

well, i have to go thru a 3 day course before they will issue me the membership card. (2 hour each time). the 1st day they teach all the rules. and today they teach me how to shoot. tomolo is the last day.

 

I seen coaches in the club. (if that is why u mean)

james? he has been shooting for quite awhile. can learn from him. If u learning from Coach Zhang Shaoying, thk not bad. She has trained quite a no. of national shooters . Last year she wanted to pull me from shotgun to air weapons but i dun wan...prefer shotgun. more impact. u shootin air pistol or rifle?

i am james. i don't know any coach. i don't know if the lecturer that give us the lesson is a coach or not (mostlikely is). but it is only a 3 day course which i have to take before the club issue me the membership.

 

The lecturer is an indian by the name geoge. he say his club is safsa. he did point to a chinese lady saying that it is his coach. he say she from china and is teaching competition people.

 

is getting a coach expensive? i don't really know any. as i say, i newbie.
