Maybe I will go down to sanfu on Saturday or maybe Monday morning... my vara realli needed a good tuning... and adjustment on my fork... seems to wobble alot these few days... maybe the nuts or parts are loosen..

 

Aniway... any idea.. what is the best tire for our vara...

1) Bridgestone Tailwing

2) Bridgestone Battlax BT45

3) Dunlop Arrowmax

4) Meztler tourance

5) others?

 

Bros, shared your opinion as I need to change my tire real soon... next month after the road tax.. will be changing the tire lah...

been quiet cos ive got no good comments to put for the topics at the moment..

 

but i alwasy check the forum..

 

but u did mentioned something interesting.. tyres... how can u tell if your tyres need changing??

 

is it bec it skids easily when u e0brake at times?

or cos.. the treads are dissapering?

looking at my rear tyre threads.. its still there maybe about 0.2-0.4 cm deep..

dont know if its time to change... been using the typres for close to 2 yrs now..

 

and i agree Meztler tyres are cool.. would want to change for that.. maybe soon...

They close at 2000hrs.

I'm using Dunlop ArrowMax Road Tires. So far so good. Except the front tire sidewall cracking cos I was given old stock. Trying to the shop to exchange for me new one.

I am using the Metz Tourance, I can say very very satisfied. Very soft yet firm. Good gripping on the road. Corner also very stable, unlike Dunlop Trailwing, which skids too easily i can say. Cos I skidded twice on the junction near kaki bukit sanfu in front of the mosque, which is always filled with stones and gravels from the concrete mixers and trucks passing there everyday. But the tourance is the most ex in the market i was told, and in addition, it is also one of the fastest to wear out because of the soft rubber. Can try Dunlop Trailmax quite recommended. and cheap too at $150+. Tourance is $270.

 

Anyway, I went Sanfu yesterday about the bike problem, high revving at high temperature. Gotta do top overhaul costing $800. Hiya. A friend also tagged along to do tuning to his carbs and he is very very satisfied with the outcome. He was excited too about the fact that they wash bike for him. One word says it all, he said 'excellent'. So i hope although i kena $800, I will be very satisfied with the bike. Now I am riding my vara again. Blessing in disguise that I have not sold it yet.

 

Anyone going Sanfu this afternoon or tomorrow or thursday pls contact me, cos I maybe coming down to see what they have done. Collecting maybe on thursday, so maybe those regulars out there can help me bargain a bit lah when i collect the bike?? LTC? or Simone? or Bagahera?

Urgent selling at 6.5k...to think of it, back when I was asking for 7k, someone actually offered me 6.6k and I declined...what to do...

Not much hope for the bargaining man. A few months back I spent almost 1k on my servicing - but very happy with the results.

 

They should have some promotions on with free oil filter or breakpads when you spend certain amounts. Check with them what's going on. Hope it turns out well for you!

Any idea how much selling outside? What is it called anyway? I waanna look around how much outside but forgot lah wats the name for the horn... Just dun wanna trouble Neo lah..unless maybe a few of us all install together all meet him then oklah...

Sometimes when you get a powerful horn, might not pass the LTA check. Do consider. By the way, Niti and guys... how are you all being doing... No time no see...

night singapore tour sounds good!! but the route must plan well ahead, if not later we all stuck in the middle of the road tinking where to go

 

actually vtec III not a bad idea to get. but if i got the money, i would go for sumting BIGGER, like 1300cc like dat. problem is got no class 2 for now....
