hi guys, i'm back from tekong again!

pls take note tat the fuel c.o.c.k(which u use to turn to reserve and ON/OFF) can drop off easily.my fuel c.o.c.k is lost cos last wk i rode the bike den this thing quite loose but i din bother to do something to it thinking tat it wont drop off so easily.

now i cant switch to reserve tank, which is quite risky :giddy:

Think before you speed, cameras are all over the place now

[wild_i]

im actually going to boon siew on monday (maybe 10-11am) for full servicing *most prob* as i dont work on mon..

dont know if you wanna go?

but maybe its too late...to organize (u can reach me at 97532020)...but i dont know what time they open, hope i dont have to wait too long for the servicing...

[neo] the connections stuff is the one that makes me worry man, worried it get short, etc...but what are u refering to .. connection? ur refering to con.. from the tail light to the batt?.. cos its neat lah, the hazard light thing...

[varadero84]

wooh fuel c0ck lost!! *c0ck is actually a banned word huh..*hehe* thats quite a problem, but the fuel c0ckis pretty standard right? like other honda bikes, u tried going to bike shop? do they have something to replace it? hope they do man.. cos i agree with you.. that switch is damm useful, dont want to be riding in middile of a busy highway, and suddenly lost power and cannot switch to reserve! *gulp*

[niti] u live too far lah... if your a western-er then can meet up to wash bike, my bike.. too been way too long since i wash and waxed it,

My bike has been through the heaviest rains, ran thousands of KM with no electrical problems whatsoever on my DIY stuff, except a loose connector.

Its pretty safe, we use properly insulated crimped connectors and cable lugs, no twisting two wires together and blacktaping.

Power is tapped from the original signal light relay to override it, and a 2nd relay is used to flash all four signal lights at once. Quite simple, as long as you know where the connectors are.

hey guys, me and [wild_i] just went to boon siew for 'full servicing'

wow its not bad, they have a check lits of stuff to check, he actually took out my tank, and air clean my air filter!. changed oil, plugs and oil filter, top up coolen, and i dont kow what other stuff they did, but took about 1 hr +,

Rage_i's was much longer as they changed his friend brake pads,

first time, pro mech, servicing my bike,

and it cost me *gulp* $100.01!

wooh! huh.. ok lah, im happy that they cleans my air filter, i was pretty worried about air filter *never cleaned before*

Today's Servicing at Boon Siew with Visual was definitely a very good learning experience. Learnt a lot of things about the bike and also found some faults with it too. One of my main problems now which was highlighted to me is that my front left fork is leaking oil. The fork arm where the seal grips as it moves up and down is corroding and as a result it is wearing out my oil seal. Thus the leakage and this is on both the arms the corrosion. The mech was a lil confounded by this. This is gonna cost me some major moola to replace. Got them to get me a quote. Man..the brake pads cost 96 bucks to replace.

All in all i paid 180 big ones with a ten percent discount. One thing though the mechs there are really professional and knowledgeable. The guy even adjusted the tension of my chain with me sitting on the bike as the perfect tension to be achieved is when the tightness of it is with your weight placed on it and not when it is freestanding. He even adjusted my idling speed and increasing the richness of my mix too. Before my idling speed was at 2K and now 1.5K..not to sure about the richness part though but it sure as hell feels better on the get go.

Cant wait to find out how to replace the fork arms and seal...sigh. Anyone with any suggestions on looking for secondary quotes for this?

Standard pricing for the fork seal should be around $50/+ for a pair including oil change. U can try SanFu.

[wild_i] so what time did the servicing finally end? wow, yours was quite an extensive servicing man.... but i felt brake pads abit procy, i remembered mine (for rear) was like 50-60 ++

and you got ur oil back (actually since we both were changing oil, could have use my extra for yours) but well abit too late.

anyways i feel relief, servicing is done next is

TYRES..

anyone thinking of changing Tyres soon?

think i need to change by next months Pay check,

when i went home *roads was all lslippery*

going at 40 then the front taxi slowed down, suddenly, so i pressed brakes abit more, and dammm it. i was fishtailing...

slushing away on the roads,,,... the thing is, this has happeed way too many times for the last fre weeks, my rreear tyres are botak-ing already...

so now i got to make sure i dont stay tooo close to a vehicle...

htinking of Metz or pirelli scorpian tyres look juicly good too..

[LTC] u think SanFu, has tyres for vara125?

wild i, few weeks after i bought my bike i noticed dat there's some leafage at the front left of my fork also. brought it to a shop at tampines and the guy told me dat my oil seal break already. it cost me around 40 bucks to replace it. no more prob after dat :thumb:

the full servicing u guys had at boon siew sounds good. maybe when my bike reach 12000km i mite do a full servicing also. but how come visual paid only 100 and wild i on the other hand paid more?

LTC>> Thanks dude...i'll head over to get a quote.

Visual >>My servicing was done by 5pm. Must commend them on their meticulousness. Pricey servicing but then again you pay for what you get right.

Niti>> Why my servicing was more was due to the brake pads. It cost me $90 bucks. The normal full servicing would cost you a $100. If you have to change parts then it will add on from there.

U can give SanFu a call.

I'm using Dunlop ArrowMax. Quite good. It's road tires.

Remember to check the age of the tire from the dot number.

Also made in Japan ones will be of better quality but a bit more costly.

It will be a 4 number code. Recommended to get the ones ending '03 meaning the tire made last year.

Can call me if u going there. 91076856 but I'll be free only after 1700hrs.

ehh LTC, thanks for the info man...

i think i really need to change tyres soon, given the fact that its rainy these days,

so when i ride, also very scared, ride slowly.. *i have no confidence in my tyres now* wished vara125 had anti brake locking system.

So how much does Dunlop ArrowMax cost u?

sicne its road tyres, *is it true that it will wear out faster then trailing tyres?*

by the way this is how your tyre looks like right?

Did u get a quote from them before replacing?

I didn't change there cos that time when I change already very urgent so I change at workshop near my work place.
