this few weeks i busy with reservist in camp training...

hope to meet up soon to discuss bout next year's trip...

most likely is the coast to coast ride and phuket...

 

so has anyone taken the "hot seat" yet? i really can't take it as next year will be a very important year for me...need to concentrate more on studies....might be able to join u guys for the ride...but planning wise not so much....

but no matter what...i will always support...

 

looks like a lot of pple holding on to class 2A got itchy butt....so next year got more potential markers to support any convoy.....

RECCE (#1) – short range conditioning ride

 

Date: Saturday ,14 th January 2006

Destination : Tg. Piai , Off Kukup

Start Time : 0830hrs GP Esso

End Time : 1800hrs

Duration: Day trip.

Distance : below 150km

 

Purpose: To cover the 2nd part of the four ends of Peninsular Malaysia.

Participants: 2 riders onwards

 

 

 

 

RECCE (#2) – medium range conditioning ride.

 

Dates:

Option #1 (Friday,10th March 2006 to Sunday,12th March 2006)

Option #2 (Friday,17th March 2006 to Sunday,19th March 2006)

 

Destination : Western Coastal states of Kedah ,Selangor, N.Sembilan and Malacca.

Start Time : 0800hrs GP Esso

End Time : 2200hrs ( ETA @ Tuas )

Duration: 2D/1N

Distance : about 650km

 

Purpose: To familiarize the trunk roads and many intersections along Route#1 and Route#5 .

Route : i) Northbound via NSHW up to border of Kedah / Penang .

ii) After exiting NSHW, heads south up to Malacca via the trunk roads.

iii) Re enter NSHW via Ayer Keroh to head back home.

 

Participants: min:2 (on confirm list) max:4

 

 

 

 

FINAL RIDE

 

Dates :(to finalise by Mar '06)

Option #1: Saturday ,17th June 2006 to Friday, 23rd June 2006

Option #2: Saturday ,27th May 2006 to Friday, 2rd June 2006

 

Destination : Peninsular Malaysia, Coast to Coast Tour.

Start Time : 0800hrs GP Esso

End Time : 2200hrs

Duration: 7D/6N

Distance : estd total 2200km

 

Purpose: To cover the two remaining northern corners in Kelantan and Perlis respectively.

Participants: min:3 (on confirm list) max:12

 

Details

Speed (kmh) : 70~ 100 (Local speed limit)

Mileage : 250 ~ 400km per day

 

Main Budget : 3types ( Figures quoted are estimates )

i) Lodgings : SGD $240

(S$40/ N X 6 Nights )

 

ii) Fuels : RM120

(Total distance:2321km / 300km -top up distance before reserve)

I got the same boxes plus Givi Wingrack N151 for $300(inclusive of installation). But advice u to get the PL173 rack, more stable. Some of our brother here can advice u on the price of PL173.

Interesting Experience

 

I usually top-up with SPC 95/98 fuel in Singapore and Esso F1 in JB.

This usually will hit average 420km b4 I hit reserve.

 

About a month ago I top-up with Shell V-Power and this one I hit 450km b4 reserve. Wah very happy man.

 

Then, my last-top up was with Esso 2000 in Singapore.

Last Sunday I was in Senai, on my way back around 9.00pm just turning into the highway from Senai, bike start 'coughing' and it was only 380km since last top-up!!

Turned to reserve and still got about 30km to go b4 GP R&R. Really got caught of-guard man.

 

Wah really scarry man, scared petrol run dry in the middle of no where at night some more!. Luckily manged to reach GP.

 

Does lower RON fuel means lower mileage?

Any brother experience this b4?
