al...simmons...... i would be the happiest man on earth to get 130..... But my g.f can hit 120 but cannot maintain, it will suddenly drop to 115.....izzit because of my weight me 80+ kg my g.f is 60kg.... and does my high visor have effect? and would the arrow full system would benefit since there is power cut?

Does POWERCUT exist in Varadero 125???

Just wondering about this issue. So now trying to do survey.

What happen was when the speedo reach between 115-120kmph, it will drop back to 110kmph. So there is a maximum speed that you will reach or in other words, your tachometer reach the red line. So is it got to do with the year of production of the bike that they decided to install a power cut for the later version. But somehow those pple who went to Hatyai and riding the later version bike can cruise at 120+kmph with no problem.

Who happen to experience this before with your vara?

abt da powercut it varies wif da sprocket size u use, more distance front 13, rear 41 u can hit 120km/h, more pick up 14 fornt, rear 44 ard 110km/h bt tis all is an estimation may vary wif type of engine oil, tyre & petrol u use, imho aft 2 yrs of riding a vara tis is juz my findings

btw almost all bikes in sg has no power cut unless japan domestic imported aka parallel ones cuz japan rule on the road restricted to 180km/h if i aint wrong even its a haya....so we r lucky enough to hv such freedom i rekon, on da other hand we hv 3 stages of bike classes so dat power fits da bike & rider.

Mah Pte Ltd (Serangoon) got one, Wheel Motor (Bedok) got one. Not sure still there or not.

Hi All,

I am looking at getting a new one. But if 2nd hand also can if the condition is good, very good and goody good.

Anyway, i'm still learning. Trying for my Lesson 8 next month and hopefully can do the TP test at end of Feb....

Btw: Clicked on the link of the ad that Al-simmons attached. Was drooling at the babe's pic and not paying attention to the pic of the bike!

And also need to ask about bike financing. Is it the same as cars. For cars, we have to pay initial downpayment plus insurance plus 1st installment for On-the-road. Interest is at about 3.7% now, and usual instalment period is 7-10 years. Most loans are with financial institutions and banks. So all this is the same as Bikes?

And when i'm free, and around the area, I'll pop in at Mah and Wheels to look at the Vara.

Hi Jimmy,

I just passed my TP in Oct and got a vara from one of the riders here (byteblock) The previous owner (and I would say most of the riders if not all),really take good care of the bikes as your can read from the 237 pages.

2. I have no regrets geting the bike from the riders here. I had seen some of their bikes. Most of them are in GREAT condition. The ppl are warm-hearted, friendly and helpful.

My opinion:-

If have SPARE cash, then and only then, no harm getting a new vara. But have to consider spare cash for the accessories that you have to fork out

If not, a 2nd hand from the riders here are very good enough as the condition are good and it is well equipt with accessories. e.g crashbar which is very important to new riders like us.

yo brothers!....yesterday...was a nice trip although the ride to Bekok...is freaking long and hot...but once dipped in the cold and strong current water...wow!...refreshing and relaxing...but you all want to play slide...wrong place dah...ehehehheh...Power the ma!....and also...I am sorry....to cause the confusions.....sorry brothers.......

For those who went yesterday trip, congrats for the perserverance, patience and the spirit. Good work.

For those first timer on NSH and malaysian trunk road, i hope it's a good experience for you. Good to pick up the skills first before riding much further and longer.
