maxima chain wax served me quite well till i got a scottoiller..

 

the main diff between lube and wax is that wax is generally more viscous than lube and hence flings less.. downside is that lube gets washed off more easily..

 

for degreasing i highly recommend GT85.. real solid stuff!

A brand new R1 costs RM120K to be exact. With that kind of money, we can buy 1 brand new GSA with all the accessories available and maybe some extra money to buy 1 spare bike. So owning a powerbike in Malaysia seems like very expensive hobby.

Manage to find a pair $20, but the screw different size.

Our vara seem not using standard of 10mm ones, but using 8mm.

u sure want to get the stock vara mirror?

 

can try FJT along Rowell Road or Eversuccess at Lembu Road.

cheap $20-40 range. Then get the converter nut. That's it. Done.

To all those who waited for me to turn up for top up yesterday, sorry guys for making you waited for hours. I got a lot of things to settle last night... coz I wrecked my "company car" into a path of an incoming taxi!!!

 

Looks like I for sure kena fine 200 and 6-8 points for careless driving. And to make things worse, the accident was not even half of my probs. Wats in the car was the real menace...

 

Anyway drive and ride safe. Sometimes no matter how carefull you are, no matter how many times you check the blindspots, suey suey things still happen. Lucky no one die...

 

So sian man... Anyone drinking or lepaking or go makan or whatever tonite? Taking time off so drown my sorrows.

 

Anyway, lucky its my "company car" that got wrecked. Had it been my white Broom, I jump down the hill already!!!!!!

along the road directly behind ah boy there is a shop that sells only screws? perhaps you could try there? it's next to a hardware and an electronic shop..

i notice the bike got side pannier rack only, no box. i was walking not riding..

 

hmm...anyway to adjust the throttle, i prefer to twist a-bit rather than twist more, pain in the wrist. i able to set the clutch cable free-play. But throttle not familiar.

Oh ya that day when I was at BikeTech21 when u guys went to Simpang Bedok, I saw this 'antique' Vara parked at one of the side lanes beside the mosque. The no is Ft 8140... if i am not wrong, it should be 1 of the first few parallel imported Varas?

Niti > Bro, sh*t happens. It happened to me....................twice. It wouldnt be called an accident if it wasnt accidental. Just glad you are safe.

 

Mi20 > bro, dun think you could get those screws at any hardware shops. I have been searching for bike screws at many hardware shops but to no avail. All of them would tell me ' Oh.......For these type of screws you have to go to screw shops' And after weeks of searching, most of them would point to one place.........here it is:-

good find. ... can foresee home brew stuff in the near future. how about pimping our rides with stylo milo screws for a start ?

 

 

apply light lubricants on the throttle cables. but first, you need to splice ( half) open the throttle assembly by loosening the screws. don’t have to dismantle it all.

Will try to hit the highway before sunset at Ayer Hitam. Breakfast at Coffee shop at Ayer Hitam Town. Those want to play water at the waterfall can bring the necessary equipment. U want to picnic also can. There will be very little of off-road riding.
