The bike was supposed to be on the road on 10 Oct 08 but I had to delay to 26 Oct 08 as my insurance-lady said there was $180/- savings if i waited due to my class 2B pass date on 26/10/2006. Apparently 2 years of riding experience then get discount.

 

So now I got the bike stripped, left it at Bikeworkz and the fairings are being painted by my fren @ Kranji Loop. Decided to use the savings I got ($180) to discount the paint job cos the bike is in great need of one.

 

Really cant wait till the 26th man!! And I cant wait to see Andrew's bike too!!

If you guys see me on the road, just wave man. I might look fierce cos of my tattoos but definitely still friendly one ah.

 

Got questions though. Yesterday went to pump after 220+ km and had to pump 10 litres plus. Seems like the FC getting more jialat. Last time was 25km/l then 24km/l then now 21km/l. Any ideas why?

 

Also realised that once around 95km/h, the bike seems straining like the metre around 9 or 10 like that. Is that normal with you guys too?

I am 120kg and vara ard 130kg (i think) and at 110kph, the needle is at 11.

 

For this bike its quite normal to 'strain' the bike when moving off fast and when speeding. But not to worry as the v-twin can sure take your whacking one.

 

Congrats on getting yourself a great bike. If u need pimping up, feel free to ask fellow vara brothers for tips and ideas.

Maybe your FC not too good because of your riding style? Cos i used to get around 23km/l too.. Then i changed my riding style, try not to whack the throttle too much. Now it's up to 28km/l for me

Vara has a dry weight of 150kg.. If add petrol somemore.... I think most of our Varas here weight at least 160kg because of all our pimping
