guys how much roughly to get a vara 125?? Would it be gd to tour with the bike and able to reach 120 in topspeed??

Hi XrS!N, 2nd hand vara125 FV-FX plate going ard 4-6K stock depending on the condition. If shop i think they will sell above 5K as they buy in at 3.5-4.5K. I have asked ard actually.

 

If you buy from fellow forumer, can expect price to be at least 6.5K depending what accessories are on the bike. IMHO if you can get reloan from shop or have spare cash, just buy from forumer as you can immed enjoy the accessories as you will sure buy them later. Most accessories are great add-ons to the bike and you may need them. Also buy from forumer better as they will be honest re their bike and most look after ther bike well.

 

The furthest i toured with the bike was Jasin, Melaka and Melaka Town. More experienced riders have been all the way to Krabi in Thailand. Just check out early pages in this thread, i think 2006. This bike is an excellent 2B tourer as it has V-twin engine, upright riding posture, disc brakes and rear mono-shocks.

 

Speed and power, however, are not its strengths. Due to its 150kgs coupled with 125cc engine, top speed 120-135kph max. A weighty rider like me with side boxes will sure reduce that top speed to a more realistic 115kph.

 

My apologies for this lengthy msg. I just rode my nx4 to the office, parked it there and rode my vara back home. The stability and almost-nil vibrations on the vara was pure joy compared to my other ride. Just sharing the LOVE

Have to agree about the falling in love with the bike bit. I got a shock when I found myself talking to my Vara along the PIE. Quite scary leh, what if I become one of those uncle at the traffic light talking and mumbling to themselves.

FYI, I threw away the helmet after came back from a riding trip. My personal rating: 3/10.

But its up to individual.Get a betta one, Arai or Shoei. Good investment.

Just for your info...this is from someone from Philippines.

 

 

I ordered an Airoh Stelt helmet and paid for it via Paypal 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was told it was in stock and would ship that day. I even paid for so called super express 3 day shipping and I still don't have the helmet. I am getting alot of false promises. I will give the guy a chance to make it right but I don't want anyone else to have the same problems if he indeed is not good to deal with.

Just a quick update. It is Nearly November and I still have no helmet or refund and nothing but taunts form this dealer. I filed a report with the police there but they won't do anything. I filed with Paypal but this guy is slick enough to have drained his account with them during their investigation. They ruled in my favor but claimed they couldn't recover the funds. I have since contacted an attorney there. I contacted Airoh and let them know he was using their name and products to rip people off but they never replied. I don't mind so much losing the money as I do him getting away with cheating honest bikers. I am simply posting this in hopes no one else will lose any money to this guy.

Thanks for the info, will do. I knew his price was a bit high but the one I ordered is not sold here in the states and Ihe promised to have it here in 3 days for a ride I was goig on so I paid extra for his so-called 3 day super express shipping. It has been 4 1/2 months since I paid for this and I have nothing but verbal abuse and lies form this vendor. I have copies of all receipts and emails he sent taunting me as well. I never wanted to get in a pissing match with this guy as I don't have time for that crap and the games he wants to play. I only want what I paid for in good faith or a refund if he could not provide it. He simply used his website and false promises to rip me off.

 

I have bought alot of gear from this site and dealers all over the world and had no problems with anyone but this guy. I have always paid instantly as I did to him but he is the only person to ever not send what I paid for and refuse to refund my money. Most gear dealers and bikers are decent people that I enjoy dealing with but this guy is sure the opposite.

 

 

Well two weeks after posting an inquiry to him on the forum you suggested there is still no reply. This guy is a real piece of work. I appreciate you letting me know of that forum though and will see if he ever replies there.

There is nothing wrong with this shop, just that there were several incidents of mismatch of expectations between the seller and the buyers.

 

Just go with Dato "Elan7891" to Regina on the agreed date. If you can get the Arai Tour X II for around $550, that's a good buy.

 

On a more important matter, you choice of font color is killing my vision.
