Eh Visual >> Which Mah did you get your lightbulbs replaced at? i too was told about the Piaggo lightbulbs by someone here but i have my reservations

Yo WILD_I!

I suggest for you and visual to go to big MAH at bendemeer for the light bulb change as any other normal bike shop would give you a crappy light bulb which cant even last . You ask for Sam ...the mechanic there and he knows wat to do . The model of the light bulb is " NARVA SZ " 12v / 35 w if im not mistaken and it only cost $10 per piece .

And to DANIYAL ... WILD_I .... SIMONE .... DAKAR .... & .... VISUAL ..... nice meeting you guys yesterday .... hope to meet wif the rest of the guys one fine day .

ciao

hope to join u guys for the trip:smile:

Bro,

heard the news from Tijan on Saturday night while in Malaysia. I am glad to hear that you are okay. Yes, it hurts when our bike suffers. But thank God, you are safe and sound and I believe that at the moment is what matters.

GHC Yishun will definitely do a ggod job for your bike.

Cheers.

Cheers,

I changed my tyres at Mah Motorparts. Their prices are decent.

I'm intending to go down to Chong Aik on the 5th. As for the RS Taichi raincoat ,I'm not to sure. Most of the better raincoats are in that price range. Recently come forumers had a MO for OGK raincoats for $65 at Regina. Arai raincoat(the thicker one) is selling for $70 at the 219 shop in Lavendar. So basically you got to go look see to be the best judge of the quality.

P.S. I only know the prices but not the quality...heh

[ABATTORY] thanks for the bulb info..

i try to avoid going to the 'big' mah... as they will really make u wait 1 hr for bloody bulbs.. and im pretty sure other shops sell the same bulbs too...

anyways now i got to hunt down

"NARVA SZ" - 12v/35w (bulb)

[wild_i] if your going to (chong Aik)... can u check if they sell the bulb...i desperately need to get a pair... ( i was near jalan besar yest.. but noticed lots of bike shop close on sunday).. anyways.. my side here (west) dont seem to have any 'good' bike shops.. in Jurong.. dont think ive ever seena cluster of bike shops..

Anyways.. if anyof you guys happen to go to a bike shop, could u do me a favor.. ask if they have the bulb..(and the price)...

Many..thanks..in..Ad-Vance.

RS Taichi is good like smicer say - have been using one 'Rainbuster' for the last year or so - best raincoat i ever had. Does not leak in the crutch area like the cheaper ones.

Still hot when the rain stops, but definately cooler than other models i have tried. Also much lighter.

The Dry Master should be even better than the rainbuster, and $80 is cheap for that model.

Let me know what the selection is like, maybe I go down and have a look next weekend, time to buy me a new one soon i think.

I think a good raincoat is among the best investments you can make as a rider, especially in Singapore these days!

yup my coolant messed up....when i first stop i thought my petrol leaking...then realised my coolant bottle leaking....the cap also gone missing..

my tires ok....everything else ok....i rode back from cte back to my home to sengkang slowly with my elder brother driving..

ferring gone already....see how ah...hopefully $500 enough...

my ns allowance won't help much...

heard ghc going to take parallel import...

don't know whether it is going to be cheaper than BS...hopefully...

as wild_i said the important thing is the rider is save...i couldn't believe myself to still be riding when i hit the taxi...thought going to 'buang' already...prepared to break fall already...but managed to control the bike..

the only thing that can hinder me from going to kl with u all is my budget...see how it goes...but i'll be looking forward to join u guys...:bounce:

I know the feeling man, busted my left fairing a few months back and had to change it together with the left radiator.

Riding the 1k vara so hopefully you in better luck - ppl charging incredible amounts for a new fairing, I ended up buying it from davidsilverspares.com, it was cheaper with the freight from there than to buy it in Singapore. Boon Siew is the worst, don't even try getting it from there. I got my radiator from FJT, worth checking out as their prices are quite good.

I also heard (later on) that m technic has got some good contacts if your fairing is in good enough shape to be patched up (fiberglass). May not be as smooth as a new one but could be worth it.

PM me if you looking for some more info on the above - never a problem to help a fellow biker.

Good luck with the repairs, and hope your wallet don suffer too much!

Hey Bro,

I know it is heart wrenching to part with the money and seeing the bike goes down. But I am glad to hear that you are safe and sound.

I have met similar accident 4 years back on my DT, bike repair though settle by insurance, I sat at home with a casted right leg for 3 months....But I grew to be more careful with my bike maintenance and riding style.

Visual is right, if the bike is ready, do join us for the KL trip. Don't worry about finance, we can here chip chip there chip chip, can settle one. That shd be the spirit.

Cheers
