a few thousand posts ago there was also a discussion about the logo

when varadero 1984, Haikel, Taufiq, Simone, Farid and dat orange vara guy turned up for our first ever gathering at east coast park, none of us ever thought that one day we will hav a logo.

none of thought that we will have a group name.

none of us ever thought that we will have our own group t-shirt!!

what we wanted was to see more of vara125 get together

what we wanted was to meet up together, a lot

what we wanted was to ride and go to places together

and the spirit was very strong back then

its wonderful to see what started as a small bunch of rookies blooms beautifully into a strong group with over more than 100 riders (if you got the time to count)

the rides, the trips, the tok kok sing song sessions, the top ups,

the time the vara reached Thailand, the time the vara 'got into the sea',

the riders.....

to me its more than just a group

its a family

a legacy

re-design the logo, we may

stick to wat we started, why not

but dun forget

there are other important things to look at too

like bridging the gap that paradigm mentioned,

gatherings to get together and be merry,

make new friends and strengthened the ones that are already tied,

and most important of all keeping this thread, this family alive

keeping quiet around the corner

but i do always hope that the spirit, the family stays strong

my only regret...

is selling that orange vara that I'm bloody proud of...

For those thinking wants to get GSR 400 when they have thier class 2A....... it's a good choice.

It's a good choice till something happens.

It's Bloody expensive to repair!!!

But it's a good bike. CB400 Vtec is cheaper. hell a lot cheaper.

Event : KAMPUNGS RIDE 09

Destination : Perlis & Kedah

Dates : Saturday, 27th to 28th March ( 2D/1N )

Departure : Friday, 26th Mar,2200hrs.

Overall cost : ~RM70 per night / pax. ( basic amenities, breakfast, lunch, dinner & tea )

Distance : 800km ( one way )

Closing Date : Saturday, 14th March.

.. hereâ€™s another ride with a difference. the last we had was so much fun riding through the kampungs at the northern states of Kedah and Perlis. for those who did, remember the paddy fields, the mountain backdrop and not to forget the minahs kampung ? * wink* @ Toobez

for those who arenâ€™t familiar, Homestay is a programme now widely implemented in many states of Malaysia to attract certain type of tourist. unlike hotels, chalets or the likes, visitors will be introduce and have a short feel the way of life of rural folks. run by the villagers themselves, there are packages available to tailor the visitorâ€™s need. more details will be out soon. so start planning now.

Note:

* Minimum 6 pax to proceed.

* As per last meeting,Travel insurance will be compulsory now ( 2 days coverage )

* Not for the fussy. ( itâ€™s a kampung after all )

* There will be night riding session. ( ~ 6 hours )

* Limited places available (max 18 )

* 8 slots reserved exclusively for Varadero 125.0 ( lurkers, non forumers are invited too.)

Last Saturday I change my Vara 125 air filter after about 2 years ++ riding this bike, which I never took out the petrol tank before....

Place : Jurong Bird Park - The Village
Charges : $30 for 3 hours (Prawn Fishing)

Plan is to meet maybe 10pm fish till 1am, pack up go GP for topup and makan,or you also can BBQ the prawn you have catch. (They do provide BBQ pit,table and chair)
