One more thing fellas...Please save your Spark plugs when you change them during the servicing of your bikes. We can use these as back up plugs unless you've done 10 000 Km on them.

We could do that too but some of the guys plugs are brand new (like Simon's) and it will be a waste to throw them away. Plus it is just as a back up you know what i mean.

How is everything?? exam, assignments all over alreadi?? Found a place suitable for meetup @ CBD. As long as the rest of kakis are okay, it will be nearer to your house. So no more too far, central for everyone so more to join us :cheeky:

CBD sounds good ... esp after 7pm.. its pretty quiet .. less traffic. parkng is free right if im not wrong...

 

think it would be better then east coast.. which for us in the west.. is really far.. just abit more we be at pasir ris... (travelled end to end already)

hi guys,

 

found a place at town (CBD Area) along Lim Kim Teck Road; there you see the 24 hours coffee shop....operated by Indian Muslim selling prata and stuffs. Went there to pick wife after her class around 11pm; still got many people.

 

Didn't try the food but the teh terik, not the best but of good standard...

Try to come in from Hoe Chiang Road, into the small lane between OAC Bldg & Euro-Asia Centre; there can park "anyhow" at night.

Please take note that those are just places that others saw them camping. I t doesn't means they will always be just there. From wat I know, they always change locations on random. I even saw before one manning a camera sitting behind those bus stop advertisment board. So do be careful not to speed. Never E-brake when u see them cos too late liao. U only cause danger to urself and other road users.

 

Another thing to note is keep ur riding style on checks. There are unmarked police vehicles on rounds. There are cameras mounted to video tape offenders. No high chance of successful appeals...

the cheese prata shop not bad....but yeah the parking got problem.....but for bike i think not much problem ah.....unless we go in one big group of 20 bikes....

 

but somewhere central will be better....hopefully can get more turnout....

I juz change my sprockets and chain. The different is huge man!...Gone the irritating sound. Gone the high revving. My ride is smoother. But then, the pick up lose a bit. Can feel it. Now go KL, my bike wont be that stressful...coz i doing 100km/h at 10rpm...eheheh...happy man...now, i am monitoring the mileage...hopefully, my mileage will go higher...more than 24km per liter...

Updates of the KL trip.

 

Hotel : Holiday Villa Apartment

Mode of Transport : Varadero125

Move off timing : 0630hrs

Meeting place : Gelang Patah / Tuas Check point ( not so sure can conferm again )

 

 

Dakar - Air Cannister, First Aid Kit (General usage), tow rope

Daniyal - Foot-pump, spare spark plug

Wild i - Tyre Repair Kit, Clutch cable

 

Here are the some of the preparations. Full detailz with Dakar. In the process of making available to everyone.

 

There will be only 2 stops throughout the journey. In case of raining, we still haf more stop-overs. Dun forget to bring cameras!

 

Juz in case, if some of you guyz...still wondering what to bring...i cut and paste from bikers homepage...thought it might be helpful to jumpstart our preparations...

 

Sufficient foreign currency.

Mobile phone with auto-roaming.

Map of the area you are riding to.

A Compass.

1 pair of pants.

1 t-shirt.

1 set of sleeping clothes.

1 set of undergarments.

1 pair of sandals.

1 pair of socks.

A pair of sunglasses.

Washing detergent or soap.

Toothbrush & tooth paste.

Other personal toiletries.
