Hi there seniors here,

i am thinking of getting the bike but i felt that i maybe too short to handle the vara. I am 165cm. Do you think i will have problems with it? Is there a way that the bike can be lowered so that I can feel more comfortable and safe?

Thanks in advance for the replies.

Appreciate it

At 165 cm, i do not think it will be much of an issue for the balls of your feet to touch the ground surface thus giving you better balance of handling the bike. :). Though, if you are still keen on lowering the bike's seat for better comfort, you can either lower the bike's rear suspension or have your seat padding "cut". Hope this helps! :)

Hi there,

thanks for sharing. I feel that just using the balls of my feet to support the bike makes me feel insecure. Another problem that i forsee will be the multi storey carparks especially those that you have to squeeze through the gantry for free parking. With the upslope and the balancing, I am concerned that i may lose the balance with this big bike and having both feet on the ground may be able to assist me through with ease. Sighz, like the bike but no confidence in my height....

:) I am standing at about 163cm to 164cm. I had my seat lowered by adjusting the rear suspension. Not to worry much as adjustments can be easily made :)

Oh, so its possible to lower by adjusting the rear suspensions? I just googled and found out that there is this lowering kit. Duno if it is necessary and in sg anyone doing it? I see some light....

The LIGHT is definitely BRIGHT! :). I am not sure about the lowering kit though as mine was done by the shop where i had purchased my bike.

Oh, which shop is that? Or any Vara workshops that are reliable? I can give them a call and check it out. Of course if you don't mind. I really want to be able to ride one with ease and confidence.

Thanks in advance

Bought my bike from Loois Motor. For reliable workshops that does Vara 125s,you can ask Fatt86, BrandNew or Huairen as they would be in e better position to suggest :)
