Hi Jack, thanks for your confirmation. I've been trying to find the answer for sometime. i don't think radiator got to do with the no fuel flow. dirt might clogged at petcock or carbs area.

I'm thinking about changing my front tire, relatively little tread left, and the wear isn't even. Any tips on brands / shops?

Ya, i'm using pirelli scorpion also. Looks good on vara especially the rear. ColdWarCrisis, time to change if you haven't done yet.

My rear still looks quite good, the front is pretty worn though - I'll go for a change when I have some time.

Regarding temperature, I do occasionally get 5 bars, hot days in traffic jams spending too much time in 1st gear. Also on my way to KL and back I noticed that after about 50km done at 110km/h it will go to 5 bars and stay there for the rest of the way. But mostly in Singapore I only see 4 bars. 5 bars is absolutely fine. 6 bars is still borderline ok, if you see 7 bars then there is definitely something broken.

Mine stay 4bars till when dragging gear or too many traffic stops...then go till 5bars. Nv touch 6bars b4...so no need worry. It's normal

Andrei! I just change my tyres today! One set of pirelli scorpion trail for $240 at unique motorsports toh guan branch.

This is my second set! Good tyres! I suggest you call them up before heading there or the ubi branch.

Just curious, how old is your set? (What is the manufacturing date on the new tyres?)

I did not check the date on the sticker though. Hahaha. Should have check that time now that you asked.

My previous scorpion trail lasted me 2 years. With a trip to hatyai

Oh my. The fuel choking problem that I have is actually due to my fuel leaking. Saw the technician at K&T having a hard time installing back the fuel connector to my fuel tank last sat. Now my fuel tank is empty. Saw fuel literately flowing out near the connector area. Now waiting for the tow truck to tow my bike back to K&T . Sianz

The problem was the fuel tube was cut off by the tech previously due to being worn off and when he fixed it back, it was not long enough. That is what causes the fuel tube to be dislodged. They replaced the tube without any cost to me. But my fuel tank was almost emptied. No compensation on that.

You should be able to figure it out from the tire identification number on the tire sidewall - last 4 numbers are the week and year.
