Engine sounds different when headlights are on

My bike started having problems after 2 weeks off getting it. First time the problem occurred was i couldn't start up my bike, the mechanic said it was something about idling?

 

But the next morning, same problem, it seems the engine is hard to start up when cold. Mechanic changed spark plug and tune idling again. Problem still persist. Third time, sent bike for full check. Results? Told me something was dirty.

 

Now i can start up the engine in the morning, but headlights must be off. If i on the headlights too quickly, the engine will die off. I must wait till the engine warms up before switching lights on. Some more the sound of the engine when on differs to the sound when lights are off. What could be wrong?

 

My bike is a sym bike. Less than a month old bike.

Hi, it sounds like your alternator might have a problem not your engine or spark plug. Go to another mech and have your voltage check. Should be ard 14 If no prob. It controls the distribution of electricity to all the parts that need it. If that's your problem then most likely your alternator has a prob.

One more thing to ask, do bikes normally vibrate when it reaches a higher speed? My bike tends to vibrate when it reaches 90.

Maybe u state the bike model so forum members can give better advice..

As some bike tend to vibrate when reach certain speed..

Too excessive vibration will mean some parts wear off le..

Your resistor might be dirty, just change a new resistor, cheap cheap.

My bike got send to the agent to fix cause problem was getting worse. Now even with headlights off, engine still can't start. It's been 1 week but still not fixed yet. I am still paying my installment as it is less than 2 months. I have been taking public transport this whole week. Can I ask them to minus away this week's installment payment?

seems like a problem wif ur battery or ur alternator... cux i realise my phantom's alternator/battery nt so strong.. the cranking is alot weaker wif d lights on.. so my mech advise me to start wif headlights off.. once engine start, then i on my headlight..

Yeap, same problem, but that day my bike couldn't even start with headlights off. Guess the alternator/battery completely died on me.

2) some electrical parts go haywire..

 

close to not possible for asking them not to "charge" for that week's installment.. *if you are the boss, will you go to the hassle of "recalculating" everything?
