Left bike at mscp overnight. This morning come back Spore DIY fix new fuel pipe. Later evening then ride hm. This is the 6th time within a year m bike parts kena robbed. Still same bike, RXZ.

Should be same person if stolen at same place. Try park at another mscp and cover it

No choice. I can only park there as this is a mscp alocate by HDB for residents and foreigners. I'm a non-resident there.

police cant do much. went to police station lately and was shocked that the officer manning the counter needs to write report and take calls..

 

pretty shock at the manpower availavbe when the budget for defence is 25% of the budget : /

no, at least make report better than nothing. they will do something for sure. I complain about a grp of kids under my block running n talking loud at night b4. after tat. at least 2days once I can see police petrol car going ard my place at night. (more often than previously). if u r the theif u still dare to still the bike parts anot? a report is better than hack care bro....

at least i own a piece of italian, no matter how long or how short it is.

 

Ha ha ha, I know that feeling...at least I don't have to always wonder how it's like to have one. Awesome bike, but expensive to upkeep. Plus COE system means keeping the bike 10yrs only, not cost effective at all.

 

Have you ridden the 749 at the track? I found out at our level, a well setup bike is all we need. I'm happy with my Yamaha all over again now that I found the handling issues to be tyres, and ECU restriction. Went back to familiar DOT and bike holds the line now. Re-flashed the ECU and stuttering throttle on/off issue gone, can gently roll on/off throttle in a turn without upsetting the bike, lol!

 

Looking forward to the first trackday of the year, started to jog again to work on some cardio.

Richard, please dun say I try to troll you but I swear that I do have a few automotive pipes in my toolbox when I used to stay in Woodlands! They are still in my toolbox now, ha...

 

I agree with Michael you should make a police report, or have a "ta bao" kopi session at your MSCP and have a heart to heart talk with the thief. It's not funny your bike always kana aim and hit for 6x!

 

What if the next time this freaking thief tried to steal your brake calliper but could not make it and left the bolts loose, it became your safety problem man! I think last time it happened to Tyrain right? Some freaking thief tries to steal his Brembo from the S4 but fail....damn freaking thief.

Hey Michael and Tyrain,

 

I miss you all back home man...those carefree days of kopi and talking about bikes all night long and sometimes even until the sun comes out, last min 2nd link sessions, ha....will never forget those days.

 

Tyrain, my twins are fine...very naughty. Teaching them cycling now and hope in future, will spark their interests in 2 wheels but we all know it's risky riding motorcycles, so up to them. BUT I can guarantee if they ride bikes, they going to the track with me, ha ha. Somehow no more urge to ride Ducati liao, especially when I felt myself improving faster on the R1. I guess I have no talent to exploit the potential of the Italian Marquee!

 

Michael, the motard is fun, still have it! It's my low maintenance bike here. Very fun in the tight turns like those in 99 Turn, but horrible on freeway when especially everyone else in sportsbike. At the track, very sad also because the one we always go to (Thunderhill, Willows) is a high speed track so I always get passed on the straights and eat some of them in the turns. Fun, but I had to push like a madman so I decided I better get a sportsbike so I don't ride over my limit, ha ha. Got a 08 R1 that's in the avatar and then changed to 09 R1 because the 08 totalled when my fren (better than me) crashed at the track. We were testing some Shinko slicks and 180/55-17 squeezed onto the rims of a liter bike is not a good idea. Profile is weird and the edge has a step, unlike a good brand like Dunlop, Michelin, Pirelli, Metzeller where squeezing the 180/55-17 looks ok.

 

So sad the last time I logged in was only to read bad news about Lollypop. Miss that guy. Login yesterday and read about Richard's theft problem...what is the world coming to? Bike theft here also common but I always park in my garage, not much issue for me.

 

Miss PG and Sepang...I still hope one day can ride these 2 tracks again and see what the feelings will be like.
