u prevent it from rusting by wiping everytime u park after rain. do not allow water to dry on ur bike ok already..

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

Autosol. best product ever. somemore dirt cheap.:thumb:

Its good but I do believe that once you apply it on..You've to regularly "polish" the chrome part or later it will turn cloudy..

regularly? ok la.. after rain or a bit dirty, use cloth wipe a bit loh.. tats a common practice for me everytime i reach home, use cloth, take a minute wiping all de chrome spots loh.. to maintain it cos polishing it takes some time and effort...

ya.. tats de way it is.. if u wan de type of chrome whereby u no need polish just wash will do, den go dip chrome loh.. but it'll cost a bomb..:help:

autosol tends to "eat" away the protection layer of ur chrome..making it more prone to rust as time goes by.. used it on my 1st bike.. dun use it anymore =)

Ayuluv is right 100%. Autosol if used too frequently will lead to rapid demise of your chrome.

1. For non heated parts, i use polish with wax base as it deposit a layer of wax that protects it from moisture. It can be also used on exhaust (not header) but would wear out fast.

2. Use a clear lacquer coating, though you would need to get it doen well to look good and stay on.

3.GT85 is nothing but a penetrant, much like WD40. It washes/wear off very qucikly and attracts grime.
