Hi, currently I'm riding an old Suzuki Bandit 400. (12 years old) So far engine have not give me any problems at all, but my chain is experiencing slapping sound. Its very loud and I can feel it on my left foot. I brought my bike to service and ask the uncle to help cut the chain coz its too slack and cannot tension anymore. Any advice on fixing the problem?

My rear brakes are alway screeching whenever I apply them, ask the uncle also, he say never mind, can bear just bear with it. Feels abit unsafe with the comment. Any advice for that too?

Really appreciate if any brother bikers that experienced similar issues to give advice.

Thank you !

if it cant be stretched anymore, change! dun keep cutting.. cux nw ur chain already worn out.. might break anytym.. especially since if u cut, the tension is even higher..

for ur brakes, check if ur pad finish alr or nt... if still hv, might be ur disc warped or damaged..

your chain is already worn out...and this chain is gone..

do not shorten it...a worn chain is a worn chain...reducing length is not the solution..this is the most silly way of solving the worn chain issue..

the next stage for the chain is that it will snap....and very likely damage to the bike and yourself will be the result. if your uncle did not advice you of this issue...this is an uncle that i will avoid.

screeching brakes....get the brakes cleaned...some times it need to be aged ..

OIC, thanks for the advise given. Any bikeshop in the west to recommend for the change of chain and brake disc? Using the bike for daily commuting to work.
