Anyway guys,i juz read on the CBRXX forum and something struck me on the knock sensor issue.

Spark plug cables..thats rite.These cables if worn-out or torn may disrupt the electric signal on the Fi and ECM.I've yet to check whether its the real cause.Reading the cables diagnostic,it contain ferrite coating to suppress the radio frequency from the sparkies.might be shot in the dark but i think its better than spending almost 1-2k replacing the harness and ECM unit

Nope its my third

present one is a 99 model

When i turn on the key

the Eo light, Neutral light and

the HISS key light comes on

The HISS light disappears then I start the bike

When started only the neutral light is on

The Fi remains off at all times

My other 2 was the 00 and 02 model...

Ben 5 years since i last rode a bb and last I remember of the digital dash

is that it does a self check and the Fi light is on till the engine is cranked

cant remember bout the analogue one tho

confused, welcome to the nut house.. anyway i am riding 99 analog fi model...

 

The FI light does not come up when u switch on the bike. It is not spoilt because, my FI light came out before but it is when the bike is hot.

 

However, i notice that ater sending the bike for repair, no more FI light. But i do encounter a few prob with my bike.. without the FI light indicating..

 

1) Magnetic coil

2) Rectifier

3) Radiator

4) thermo sensor

5) water pump

 

Im not too sure if these faults will actually indicate on the FI light.. jus sharing my personal experience..

Dear Birdies

 

Would appreciate if any bro having spare or unused Double bubble wind screen

for my BB. Would prefer from Power Bronze or Zero Gravity.

 

Just for info for birdies with Power Bronze Screen keep an eye on your bike. My was stolen twice from the multi-story carpark.(the carpark where we pay to park our bike). Think the culprit prefer Bower Bronze Screen.

 

The last time ordered through bike tech 21 took a few months to get a new one.

But cant.... Must bring the wifey and kid for a very expensive weekend at sentosa.... Must lah or else the next to go would be my XR..... Any of you guys here ride dirt bikes btw? Anyway I think im the only idoit in Sg who is going to use the BB for daily use and The XR strictly for weekends and trail only....

BTW ref to my earlier post, was at auntie's shop browsing through some stickers..... was looking at the Jap rising sun design... But was told that it has already been copyrighted by some bike design ... Any confirmation or truth to it??? Leceh lah want to put sticker also cannot send out wrong signals... Was thinking of putting minature country flags ala fighter planes with confirmed kills below the XX sticker... US cannot because Blackbird is an American plane... Cant put rising sun cause Japanese brand.. Summore sekali see the rising sun design riders wait kenna offer lagi worse kenna sabo at carpark... want to put german flag like cannot because Japan and Germany were allies in WW2... Think ill leave it jus blank with no stickers..... As you guys can see im soooooooo bored before going to sentosa...... LOL.
