I checked LTA website, only 4 authorised scrap yards. Does this mean i have to tow my vehicle to them to scrap? Whats the difference between scrapping with them and with workshop?

Bringing to the scrap yard means u have to do all the paper works yourself and to bring your vehicle down.

But that's pretty simple.

u can check the onemotoring website. Their instructions are clear.

After scraped, u may get back some cash for your metal + COE rebate.

 

For workshop to handle, think u need to pay for their service.

 

Y u dun want to sell it? Second hand car market are good now with the high COE.

Looks like my quote $150 is consider a "good" deal! Haiz, peanuts city.

 

Few years back, i sold a bicycle, a few dumb bells, a sitoca table plus lots of scrap metal from my store room, i still can get back $36 upon weighing at the defu lane scrapyard. These bloody "authorised" "LTA scrapyard, only pay you $150 for 1 ton of metal (most vehicle chassis and engine weight at least 1 tonne more or less your know)?? Daylight robbery. Are these "authorised" scrapyard "LTA" got share or what? Freaking pissed with these CON-on-a-daily basis dump.
