Anybody interested to do a mass order for balancer? I dun seem to really like the stock type.. Looks ugly.. And who interested to rewrap their seats? Been toying ard that idea since i got the bike.

I strongly agree..

Not only does the bar ends look ugly(its chromed)..the seat's material felt like some 90's SBS bus seat wrap. And i hate the chromed stuff on the exhaust..or rather..i hate chromed stuff :gun:

Will sanding give a nice matt finish on the exhuast's heat protector? What will be the cost for rewrapping the whole seat?i'm estimating a hundred :giddy:

Btw, i was told by SYM agent, even though the bike is warranty till 1yr(unlimited mileage), but once u modify any part of the bike (installed stereo, exhaust system, etc) , ur warranty is void. So, better check 1st with the agent for recommendation b4 changing.

Innitially i asked bout installing a stereo set for my gts, the agent warned me if anything happen to the cdi or any electrical damage, they will not cover for it coz the stereo set will tap on to the wiring of the bike. Indirectly, it will affect the engine performance. Tempted to install, but afraid of the consequences.

Maybe its juz me who always wanted to b on the safer side. Though its kindda logic to tink bout it, but i'm not sure how often bike break-down due to insufficient voltage supply to cdi etc. Better be saFE then sorry...........

On the other hand, some of our x9 bros hav installed stereos on their bike. Bear in mind x9s dunt hav kick start, unlike us. I wonder if their batt is dead.... even though normally, they power up their stereo when the engine is running.....

Someone in the forum recently had his X9 flat battery on the 2nd link. Maybe you can ask him if he's fixed on a set of radio?

A few months back, a certain shop had this offer of including a radio installed for new Joyrides. 90% of the time, the Joyride came back with flat batteries due to magnetic coil not charging/charging below par. The mechanic had to change a new coil PLUS do a re-wiring on these Joyrides so charging of the bike would not be too great. Of course, the consumers suffer for having to tow their bikes to & from the workshop & pay for the service charge. I guess they must have suffered a loss cos at one point, I heard SYM had to order lots & lots of magnetic coils just for the shop alone because eventually, they all know that unless a re-wiring is done, the Joyrides would eventually make their way back to the workshop.

Maybe the GTS electrical system is a bit more advanced than the Joyride & can stand more chance with the magnetic coils. But for me, i would rather not take any chances.

Yup.. Its the shop next to regina. The key cost me $4. But the finish is not beautiful as they need to file it. So for me it will only be a spare.. Unless u can find those rubber thingy that can be place on the key lar. Its file long enough so that when i push in to handle bar lock. It will not be stuck and scratch my key hole.

I asked a Malay uncle before & he says he's using the spare keys done by the shop beside LAB. He says funnily enough, sometimes can handle lock, sometimes cannot. Maciyam ini... For emergency maybe ok la..but skali one day the lock really got problem then how ar... change to new lock system?? :giddy:

wow..didn't know so many bros here have so much problems with their keys.BUt why are u all duplicating keys?not enought with 2?

oh btw does the "Monokey" brand mean it supports one key fits all locks?

i'm quite ignorant towards such stuff.i've never gotten a box before.Maybe we can modify the BOX to open electronically. :bouncefire:

Can try lor... but make sure nothing spoil arr... I heard a GTS rider talking to the boss at Southern say he need to buy a new seat because he tried to alter it...cut here & there a bit. End up the seat all koyak must ask shop order a new one... :weep:

Agent charge S$17.60 for original raw key. You have to duplicate yourself. Before you go in that time, call up & ask if they have your key chip number which is carved on the black plastic at the key & differentiated by a number (eg 640, B79 etc). Good luck. I think theres a magnetic chip inside that causes the safety keyhole barrier to turn, ie, wrong key will not allow the barrier to close. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

R1 seat isn't comfortable at all and it oxidises fairly quickly, but it has a more rubbery feel,a good grip on you butt but when it's the 04s,little brother and nuts had to be pressed against the hot fuel tank(sharing seat). On one occation my tights got burnt.they were REDDISH..or rather most sport bike seats are like that.

Actually i've thought of putting those little feather down cusions in the trunk and take em out to act as a seat mat.

Then again maybe i shouldn't waste anymore money on this bike.Today i went to the bike shop. They told me K6-1000 is arriving in afew months time.

Anybody interested to exchange a set of BLACK fairings with GREY ones?

Hi bros, have a question to ask. I believe by now, some of you guys might have changed your engine oil. My question here is, which engine oil feels 'smooth' both during acceleration and also during travelling? I read the EO thread and there are some which is kinda 'interesting' to try. However, I would like to hear from my GTS brothers. This will be my 2nd oil change coz at last, I'VE FINISHED RUNNING IN ! ! !. YeahoOoOOOooooooOOOo. :bouncefire: Tomorrow changing EO liaoz.. So need to get feedback which one is good for a GTS. For my first oil change, I tried to use Castrol R4 but the feeling is not good. :nono: Not smooth. Care to share your experiences my brothers?

If all of us can go to a specific motortiam to change our parts, I think the mach will our bike problem easier and can get Malosi part for our Joyride...I only came to know of Sunrise. The boss says that he is interested in servicing Joyride, but he must get more people to come to his shop so that he can buy in Malosi part for our Joyride. So any1 of u can name motordiam that willing to do that?
