Good news for fellow Joyriders!!!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I just gone done to Sunrise this afternoon to check out the Malossi catalogue!!

They are starting to build parts for our JR! :cheer:

Currently what's available are the multivar 2000 set(spring, roller, pulley assy), 14g roller for our current stock variator, and a 10g roller weight for the multivar 2000 set.

According to the catalogue, its around 110Euros, and from Simon, he mentioned the cost of everything including shipment etc would come up to around 300++. :giddy:

I guess the price to pay for a Mod to power-up our JR is worth it :thumb: , since illegally mod-ding exhaust is out of this country

About the Maxon thing, what does it do actually bro? Clean your carbs or makes the fuel consumption better? How much per bottle? My consumption is about 300 km until I'm left with the last bar. Now I'm wondering, how far can we go once the refuelling pump logo starts blinking.

In Eunos the SYM workshop has a KOSO pipe for sale but not legal i think. By the way our normal Joyride weight roller is 13.4g. So if u just change rollers make sure it can fit inside the clutch roller plate. If you change the whole set to Malossi, make sure the belt can turn smoothly. Skali at a later time the whole belt come out then chia liat man

Anybody belt change due liao ??

You will need the air compressor gun to open your clutch before taking out the belt. But someone in the forum mention before that he got do DIY under the block..i dunno how he do it.. I tried but cannot ley.. end up always go to shop & change

I only went to Southern to change EO and spark plug plus the adjustment of the bush bro. Just as I guessed, my Gear Oil was not changed  and had it changed it along Jln Kayu just now. Anyway, If you wanna do the bush thing, try to look for 1 quite young and plump chap at Southern. Forgot his name liozz.. Friendly fella. Actually, they are the ones who suggested the adjust. I know nuts about scooters. Try and ask them bro. I'm sure they are willing to help.

Yo bro

Just wondering after the bushing thing adjusted

Did the rpm actually reduce, say for example before adjust rpm at 100km/h was about 7k ++, then after adjust rpm rudeuce to about 6k - 7k

And anyone knows if there is any K&N filter that fits our GTS. If not don know can custom made.

Sorry some correction on my previous post

Hi Neaosa,

Welcome to the Joyride club. Congrats for ur new bike. This bike is a Scooter so u cannot expect to much power.

1) My bike also come wit 3 free service. First service at 500km, then 1500km, last at 3000km. Now mine bike is doing fine at 5000+ km.

2) Displaying of the season ticket and Road Tax is not a must. You can keep it under seat.If the TP require to see your Road Tax, then show him.

3) You can duplicate a spare key any where. Our Joyride does not have any clip device in the key, so it should not be a problem.

4) I have not try this helmet before so I cannot tell u much about the helmet.

Hope the information I provide help you. If you have any question can post in here and discuss.

Hi Joyrider,

Thanks for clearing my doubt and concern for the above.:thumb:

Hope to know more friends and the bike, and if there is any DIY session or gathering I will definetly join in if schedule allowed.

Last evening while washing the bike for the time, I discover a few scratch mark on the side of the bike fairing beneath the pinion area. :weep: Think is caused by pinion's shoes soul embedded with stone chipping. Tried to apply wax polish to it but the scratch mark still there. Anyway to minimise the scratch mark ?(Heart pain already, just a few day only).

Firstly, we gotta know why mod the transmission.

There are few problem with our JR transmission, let me start with the compression spring. This spring is used to push the pulley plate open for the belt to slide into the pulley. Our stock spring is too 'uncompressed' and short, compared to a stock X9 spring. Next, the clutch plate's rubber cushions are too short a piece. These rubber cushions are suppossed to come into contact to drive the wheel when the torque driver opens up the delta clutch. Therefore the longer the rubber cushion, the better grip and ultimately, less fuel wasted for those moments when engine is running but the clutch plate drive the transmission.

On the roller weight, this rollers are meant to act as 'gears' for auto scooters.

The heavier the weight of roller, the faster the acceleration but on the other hand lower top speed. This does not mean you could put the heaviest rollers you can find cos ultimately the scooter engine cant take the load and wun even move off :giddy:

Vice versa, lighter rollers mean less acceleration but promise a higher end top speed.

From my point of view, dong this mod would not cause a drastic change in FC, but greatly increase the performance (compared to stock)

The voltmeter come wif the bike as they promised from Southern Motor. they did drill a hole with rubber seal to prevent water from sipping in. but the blue light on the voltmeter is not working properly now again. sometime got light, sometime dont. i think the connection is slightly loose. have them checked before($8). fixed le. after few month. problem came back. probably due to vibration. (not so sure). Now busy with home work so didnt spend much time on my bike. (i meant long time no wash liao. haha)

Yupz bro, true. The adjustments is only to make your bike start moving off at a lower RPM.

Bro, that is not the manual that we are looking for. What we were looking for is the Repair Manual, not Owner's Manual. Hehehhe. The Repair Manual is the one that contains parts specs like the valve clearance, belt tension etc. Tried to look for it in the Internet but cannot find leh, maybe the bike is still too new.

Any of the GTSer here ask their respective shop that sell you guys the GTS, is it possible to change the battery from 9V to 12V??

Is quite odd to have a 9V battery as most electrical accesories come in 12V.

With every good wishes

have not have the time to go there yet. But should be going there later to adjust the belt brush and maybe change of EO, spark plug. Then will try to test the key there.

And anyone has any idea when the box and other stuff will arrive?
