I put a few packets of mothballs on the seat... works most of the time.

I use a bike cover which I had customised it myself by having velcros underneath to wrap up my scooter. This way, the cat will have no way to crawl into it and treat it as a tent. Been using it for a year, no problemo!!! :cheeky:

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

i've read in some mag quite a long time ago.

all you have to do is to put a small piece of stone or rock roughly the size of your fist onto your seat, and cats will not climb onto your seat. sounds simple, but dunno the logic behind it. havent tried it tho. think i might look stupid. pple will wonder how come there is always a piece of rock on my seat hahaha!

When cats see that they feel they do not have enough space to jump onto or land safely onto where they wanna go, they wo't jump onto it. They'll hesistate. I've got my own cat for 13 years. :cheeky:

Reminds me of a story.

A few years ago I moved into a terrace house in the East. I was happy to see that my neighbor was also a motorcycle enthusiast. He had a Harley and a BMW in his car port. He also had a lot of cats who loved sitting on the Harley and BMW.

Well, shortly after I moved in, I brought my brand new Ducati home to keep my Vespa company. Shortly after that, guess what?

My neighbor's cats gave up on the familiar American and German machines and turned Italian! Sure, while I wasn't too happy with this development, I at least have to give these cats credit---they had good taste!

But the scratches in the scooter got to be a bit much. I found covering the seats with aluminum foil helped keep the cats off--a little to crinkly and shiny for their taste apparently. A squirt gun helped at times, but the smarter cats would just wait until I went inside to resume their approach.

try washing your bike with strong smelling liquid mixed into the shampoo, or try wiping your seat with a piece of cloth with that strong smelling liquid spreaded onto it...

my bf tried mothballs, for a while most of the cats avoided his bike... then came a cat that was immune to it... i suggested he try his unwanted deodorants, perfumes, etc and it works like a charm hehe...

confirm working formula.. try vinegar. 1 bottle few dollars can use damned long.. can cook also..

I used to use the white vinegar.. just cover the mouth of the bottle with a cloth and turn it over.. the cloth is a bit wet and just wipe it once over the seat will do.

I rather spray perfume or cologne. At least the bike smells good to humans.

Totally agree with the smell thingy...

I had a prob wif cats pee-ing beside my bike, until i did a thorough wash to rid off the stench (think smell-able by cats/dogs only)...
