Sorry to hear that bro. What to do, women are always like that. I had the same experience as you too. Haiz...

Please keep us update what might be the problem. I also have problem starting everytime, need to crank a few time.

By the way, is there really a washing service for bike? Where exactly it is?

I got my bike today and was infd by Mr Yap from PSC that they did not find anything wrong with the bike as they can start it the moment it reaches their hands. They did some checking up to make sure that everything is in place and proper, and they retune my carb for me.

As for the washing area, there is this place, the address is 11 old toh tuck rd. cost abt $4 and they will wash your bike for u. But be warned that the chemical that they use on ur rims might be hazardous. It happened to me and the grey metallic paint of my new rims suddenly become dull and appeared to have melted away. I was so shocked to see my rims become like tat. I called up Mr Yap to enquire abt this but he said it is non under warranty and i have to go and respray myself. But luckily the man who wash the bike for me was nice and he said that he will help to pay for the cost of spraying. So end up today after collecting my bike in the morning, I proceed to spray my rims black.(My bike is red) and cost me $80. And tat $80 was refunded by the washer.

The place is good for washing bikes and cars, but do becareful of the solution that they use on ur rims.

Alright~I've finally got it sorted out...

Seems that our friend was right about the stickers being optional...& its NOT only for the stone grey color (although its the only color that came with stickers at the shop I went to. In fact, they don't stock "normal" stone greys yet.)

I'm happy to cough up that extra $100 now for the "nicer" wheels & stickers.

Here's the Red version with sticker... the color of the stickers would correspond to the respective color of the bike. This red runner comes with red checkered...likewise for the grey one I got.

Here's the Grey without stickers...notice also the wheels color on the previous picture & this one...

Lastly, the Carbon Black....without stickers...

I think this is the color that sorely needs the stickers the most...for some contrast.

I find it overly single toned...almost completely black...kinda dangerous at nite?

Hope this clarifies things & give any future buyers some info on the choices they actually have when choosing what colors to get.

Also, hope they don't misunderstood the shop people when they get last minute "price hikes" due to their chosen color coming in the "sports" edition. :goodluck:

Wow, those guys are so nice to pay for your respray. But what if I go there and wash, do I tell them not to wash my rim so I wont encounter the same problem? Or maybe dont tell them, then make them pay for respray. lol

It's quite worrying that PSC found nothing wrong with your bike even though you encounter breakdown. Anyhow hope things goes well from now on for all the new owners.

hi guys.. just out of curiosity.. can the decals on the sports edition runner be bought from the agent?? i went to PSC yesterday to repair my bike and went to the spare parts ctr.. they told me that the new runner's spare parts will not be arriving till late june or early july..

the problem with my runner is that the fuel line was block.. the mechanic told me that the cable tie was to tight and they changed for me a whole new fuel tube.. blue in color which looks nice.. hehehe.. now my bike is fine.. smooth riding..

however i discovered that there is some buzzing sound coming from below.. the sound comes when i'm moving off.. is this normal.. only happens after repairingfrom PSC on my way home..

so swann.. ur bike ok already? :?

nsr182's current & past rides.. thnx fr th mmrs!!!

yup, my bike seems fine so far, can start already. About the buzzing sound, i do hear it sometimes. My first suspicion might be the tyres, but the sound comes likely from the belt.. But i'm not sure abt this, but i do hope it wont turn out to be another problem

--> Speedcam, u can just tell them not to use the chemical on ur rims. But after a bad experience with my bike, I'm sure they will be afraid of using the chemical on the rims of all new runners from now on.

the buzzing sounds like some electrical stuffs

been encountering it for the past 2yrs+... happens only when travelling at low speed of like 50km/hr

but it only buzzes... doesn't seem to cause any harm

anyway a runner isn't meant to travel at such low speeds...

Its difficult to maintain a steady speed at low speed...always ended up doing "jerks" & then have to brake

I guess its becos cannot "play" with the clutch...

haven't encounter any problems so far...... but my runner tends to over heat easily too. However i do find the trottle grip pretty tight..... imagine i could twist the trottle while cruising, & still leave my right hand off the grip & the trottle won't go back!

I never ridden a scoot before.... is that actually normal? i hardly think so, right?

Ya i agreed that the compartment is hot after travelling for a while. But is also good for me to pack my food and put it inside, can help me warm my food so that it wont turn cold. lol :D

I put 2 Ba Zhangs inside after work & rode off to meet my friend for dinner.

When I got there...the Ba Zhangs are piping hot & ready to eat!!

My friend was speechless when i handed him one & told him its "cooked" by my bike :cheeky:

The heat is power...haha, but did you remember to open the 2 tiny air vents on the sides?

But becareful when caught in a jam....just now the exhuast fan kicked in becos i was not moving & the engine got too hot...my calf was very uncomfortable because very hot air was blasting at them.

I advice you to open but keep the angle lower so the air doesn't hit your legs.

I normally close them after parking cos I dun want rain water to get in...is that necessary?

I feel silly....but i just found the compartment where the tools are supposed to be kept...& there's actually some hollow space deeper towards the back of the bike...hahah, can hide things inside leh:cheeky:

theres no need to open the air vents.. try not to get stuck in jams.. if u know the traffic lights takes quite some time to change just turn off your engine..

btw if the throttle is tight and wont go back to the original position u just need to place a washer in between the grip and the balancer.. :thumb:

i tink any shop can do the spraying for u. for my case, i jus went to my regular shop located at alexander village(opposite queensway shopping center). Shop name is Hup Hin. The boss is Jeffery and I know him quite long oredi and ask him to spray for me. as i need the bike urgently, he jus spray the rims using spray can. few hours finish oredi. the stickers i bought n paste it myself. right now, my mileage is 500km oredi. so i',m cruising between 80 to 90. once in a while, i will open the throttle n let the speed climb up to 100 plus and then quickly close the throttle. But of cos before doin this, i oredi change my engine oil at 300km mark. I'm tryin to do 'hard run-in' here.

with regards to temperature, so far i have not experience any overheating issue. the indicator always seems to be in the middle during travelling and never exceed the 1/2 mark. I dunno whether the air vent do help in cooling the bike or not, but i do open them while travelling.

just encounter another problem... my bike started vibrating none stop after i switch off the bike. when i check, it was the fan at the air vent that are still running and blowing air out...
