If u use a sprayer bottle, Will it work too? No cleaning/ prior shampooing needed? How about oily, grimy areas?

I got my kerosene from my dad office. He has one big tin on unused kerosene. Don't know where he got it. Diesel is fine too. Actually if you ride your bike often, your chain won't rust so easily unless it is always exposed to rain etc. I never "oil" the chain after washing with kerosene at all. Just spray with the usual chain wax after that will do. And I only spray a little bit only and on the inner side of the chain. No rust even after 1 week of non-riding but my bike is always under sheltered nor ride in the rain (if possible).

Pledge is GOOD stuff! Everyone should try it. I don't find it oily, just slippery but not those oily kind of slippery. And easy to apply also. After that my bike smell of lemon. NICE!

Hey kinwei, thanks for the tips. Was scepticle at first. But i did a google and the product has its followers. I decided to try it out.

Verdict? Got the can at $7 - carrefour

Pros

An excellent rubber, leather, plastic conditioner.

Bike looks very shiny.

A protective oily(not waxy) layer is formed(layer stays for weeks)

Repels water and beads them(love this to protect my chromed spokes)

Armed with just a cloth, you can polish your ride very very easily.(without carrying the can around) From they way i see it. You probabbly dont ever have to wash it.

Cons

Under heat, you can see oily patches. Its cool once you wipe it.

At dusty areas, they will settle on your ride. Its cool once you wipe it too.

personally tried with sprayer bottle before also, it works. of cos u got to be more careful in cleaning if u never do a initial rinse. a initial rinise helps to get rid some dust and sand particles.

oily and grimy places will need more concentrated solution to it.... as compared to a 3 caps to 1 bottle, i use 5 caps to 1.... :) still does the job but the wash mitt get oily after that hence always leave those places to the last :)

anyway i tested my friend's bike with a new sample called nano clear coat from duragloss over the weekend. His bike had not been washed for 4 years.... chain was easily cleaned with GT85.

steps taken;

wash with duragloss 901 mix with No rinse. clay, then polish with a new polish sample from my supplier , following which wash down again with mama lemon to remove the wax left over from the polish sample before applying the nano clear coat.... (note; i waited a while to ensure whole bike dry before applying it) do note that no buffing was required at all when applying the nano... just spread it evenly.....

Personal review - easy to apply, like using normal sealant, but the results are different.... Nano produce a wet look like carnuba wax and the feel is like after applying the carnuba wax where the surface is very smooth..... only thing now is to see the durability.... :) going to test on my bro inlaw car soon....

here are the pictures. enjoy it. :)
