Im thinking of mixing some leftover fuchs PRO RSF 15WT with a can of also leftover ohlins 5W to get a viscosity of around 46ISO/CST@40 degrees C

yes i know the ISO of both the ohlins and PRO RSF, so i know what am i doing in therms of viscosity.

Anything to watch out for? problems encountered? Its fork oil not shock oil, but is it really OK?

Wanna know if any peeps have been playing around like that and problems if any encountered.o_O

In my opinion, i would not recommend mixing. There could be other additives added to the oil. Until you know what exactly the additives are and how would they affect performance when mixed together, i would recommend against doing so.

no advisable even though both brands are quality brands.

like crazydj mentioned, diff manufacturers add in their proprietary additives to achieve different properties which are unique to their brands.

some additives might/might not have adverse reaction with another additive, so it's best to stick to 1 brand only.

cheers!

then are you going to use different brands of EO in a single EO change? :)

1 bottle motul 300V, 1 bottle Maxima Ultra, 1 bottle Motorex for a 3l EO change? taking into factor all are 15/50W.

of course you can't see the foaming.. when you can see the foaming, means you put soap water inside, rather than suspension oil!
