Juz bought a x8 ....FY plate the shop say the belting is new.

I ride and felt upon moving off and the auto gear engagement was abit rough on the lower end and the whole bike can feel the vibration.High end no problem ....almost wan to fall asleep when riding with the distance.

Its this showing that I need to send for servicing or change belting or its normal for x8 ???

I dun mind the shop sales if he bluff or what ,,its 2nd hand bike so its ok.

any thing to share guys??

Thanks for the needful!!

Yeah, dry cell is definitely better than wet ones...

U do not need to constantly look out for the batt water level..

Rem twice my scoot cannot start as the batt water level is empty.. forget to top up.... :faint:

Yo Brownkai,

Used to have this problem too when moving up SIM slope (presume u would frequent that institution =P )..

Still rem i got a friend weighing abt 80 plus kg as my pillion... Kow, my original clutch groaning and protesting like mad when halfway up the slope.. Really scared that my bike will stop halfway up the slope...

After i changed my clutch to an aftermarket one, i had no more problem with the same 'heavy-weight' friend as pillion up the same slope again.. Smooth as a cucumber..

This is my first time here.

I have been riding my X8 for the past 2 years. Recently, I noticed that the pick up of my bike has been slower. I maintained my bike regularly and just changed belt.

What else can i do? Anyone can help?

Hmmm... ur pick up become slower due to changing belt ? or before u change belt it become slower ?

This problem can be due to afew factor... I will just roughly explain

One common factor:

As X8 are prone to clutch slip, I believe many of x8ers bro have accounted including me. cannot avoid but some say change to aftermaket clutch?

Another factor:

Our bikes performance may drop when times goes by... how big is the difference will depend on our riding style, regular service...???

What u can do...ar ?

can I ask wat belt u change ? stock ? or ?????

fuel u pump ? 95 98 ?

How slow is the pick up ??

we can meet up to see your bike....where ya stay ?
