Hi,

Need some advice here. I am thinking of buying a bike because my new workplace is in Tuas and I live in Yishun.

I am a fan of cruisers, always admire and dream of own 1 but only my 1st 2B bike is a cruiser, subsequently I rode X9 and S4 Vtec 1.

I like to ask the pitfalls of buying an old cruiser (I am eyeing a 98 Shadow Ace) and buying an automatic scooter e.g Runner.

Appreciate your comments

If you get a cruiser, you're a minority (:

That works for me.

Scooter

Belt driven

No need for chain maintainence

More storage

No gears

Pricier servicing

Pricier parts replacement

Keeps your leg dry when wet.

Cruiser

More comfortable to ride and cruise

Have to polish for it to look bling. Tiring but worth it.

Cheaper to replace parts

Wont fling when you kiss the tarmac. Can get a crashbar too.

Once you've been bitten by the cruiser bug, you just cant walk away ye?

Common

Gets you there

Fuel consumption

Very down to earth analysis . Upss

im also thinking of gettin a cruiser.. whats the difference? shadow and steed ?

Dun forget the Dragstar custom and classic . Shaft driven to be free of chain maintenance .

Test ride all of them to feel the difference in seating posture , handlebar angle , seating height , bike's size , weight and height ..

Basically you'll need to look good and feel comfortable on your ride . You are gonna be on that bike so better try out and get the right one for yourself .

Doing everything DIY that I can now.. Judging by the way things are rite now , it is for the best..

Makes you stronger and less dependent on bike shops.

Encourage others to do likewise and help new riders identify fair deals online~ thus making direct seller to buyer purchases.

Its the only way we can push the motorcycle industry in Singapore forward.
