Bro, wen I changed the mileage was abt 132000++ on my meter. I got the bike mileage was about 100000++. I think can expect to change it new once hit about 30 000km.

back to topic, agree with ATwin on the GS. the normal wear and tear is comparable with Jap bikes, but major items like clutch costs up to 1.2K to change while we can change for 300 - 400. then again, it also depends on what sort of riding u'll do. The vara is mainly for roads, and very very light trailing only.

I remember a magazine described the vara as an adv looking goldwing a few years back.

things then i can afford a vara

1) get a job

2) get my class 2

3) meet you guys when i have the chance

4) kill myself if i dont get the bike ahhahahaha

oh yeah will be meeting up seller saturday to work out

the details of him selling me the bike weeeeeeeee

me riding a vara 1k hopefully the bike does not give me too

much problems

Guys... Tnx for the HELP,CONVOY,and the Company.. Really feel great when u guys came. but still...finally i think the BIGGy need to see a specialist. so She's waiting to see one tmrw! The second fuel pump didn't help that much (it overloaded i guess) and gave way again after i hit 80km/hr just after Malaysia custom at 2nd link...! It stop just at the foot of the stretch long bridge!!! Manage to start it again, rode off (i can feel the carbs suck the fuel as there's isn't any pumping into it and the piston knocking!) reached the middle of the bridge and it just stops AGAIN. All i did was pull the clutch back hoping to let ir run down the slope naturally and yes it did stop exactly infront of the Tuas custom officer... then u noe i noe ah... She starts buts stall again twice after tuas checkpoint..starts again and stops at ESSO Jurong Yuan Ching Road!!! sigh... as it gets late, i dun wana let it bother u guys more and i'm just glad both me and biggy reached s'pore safely.....and i was lucky manage to get BIKEBULANCE!!! However..without u guys came all the way (ithink its 45km away...from GP r&r) my spirits will be way doom!!! and u guys did makes my day...will update the group pix someday later or maybe tmrw..

I understand what you are going thru but look at the bright side. They are:-

1) You learnt 'how to change the fuel pump lesson 101 !'

2) VARA brudders are always ready to share knowledge to aid one another.. & assist in whaterever way... either technical or humour related!

3) You made it over the causeway; safely onto Singapore soil. Too bad ur ride failed again but better in Singapore than ther other side!!

4) You manage to ride all the way back to KL & back.. Think you got ur wish rite? Shiok rite manage to reach highest speed!!!

I still touring novice... today was my like my touring practical lesson cum North-South Highway (this is my prac '3'; furthest so far from the mainland via 2nd link)...
