thanks An An bro, i saw the small roller on the main stand, i also sprayed some WD 40 on the roller and on the bolt that is holding the rear tire, went for a short ride, didnt hear anything, will continue monitoring.

 

WD 40 is abrasive to rubber. Use normal grease paste better.

Can i have your expertise and advise on riding this bike?

 

Is it worth the buy and also does it always give a lots of problem, like eg, engine problem, this spoil, that spoil, squeaky sound etc.

simple.. engine so far so good.. nvr let u down.. pickin up under power.. but wen reach rpm.. u wont feel it.. tats normal.. maintenance 2 eo n 1 spark plug.. "spoil " is.. wear n tear.. bike cant b prefect.. don wori bro.. n good thing is.. two helmets full face no prob.. depends on ur view.. )

My bike is always available for sale at a humble price. Black, stock under 2000km. Nil scratch. Sheltered, waxed and covered always, though I don't ride it often. 5 EO and oil filter changes in 10 months. Am looking for ways to raise funds for some new toys.

Hi bro,

All bike be it Honda, BMW etc.. got its own problem. There is no perfect bike in this world.....even Africa Twin XRV750 (One of the best bike in the world) has its on rectifier problem..hahaxx...

 

For Our Maxsym,

 

Plus Points:

- Engine is Excellent! why i say this? Because i am 21000KM on her and no one moment it failed on me

- For a 400cc 210kg scoot, this beast can reach top speed off 170km/hr with NO POWERCUT! (some scoot like Honda do have powercut)

- Spoil Spoil Spoil??? perhaps i can say this scoot is very rugged and if u maintained it properly, its a perfect machine

- Good FC of 24-26km/l

- Low Maintance cost i.e EO + EO filter + Spark Plug only cost $60!

- Projector Headlight work damn good during rainy weather and pitch black road

- This scoot u can do cornering without any problem of fish-tailing (I personally do cornering with this scoot @ 110km/hr no wobble no fishtailing)

 

Negative points (of course all bikes must have):

- Seat is a lil bit hard to shut i.e. need some technique to close it

- Original Brake Pads worn off quite fast

- Suspension is alil bit on the soft side

Not sure if the welding between the 2 bars helped but i couldnt see if the msia bikes have that part welded. Cud be potentially be d cause?

naim, the crack is just above the welded part..anyway SYM Malaysia representative have inspect the defect and it will be replaced under warranty

My maxsym 400i emblem "i" letter dropped...leaving some adhesive residue..anyone also suffer the same?

I dont know...maybe the problem originate from the assembling process itself. All Malaysian SYM models are assembled locally at its plant @ Penang. Price here roughly is SG10.5K - SG11K OTR

is the windscreen really adjustable?
