How do I see the setting for the rear shocks preload? Trying to adjust it but I can't see the pointer that marks the selection. And how do I adjust it actually. Seems to be able to rotate the collar indefinitely......

Just use a screwdriver to put into any hole and turn towards left to soften and towards right to harden

the suspension. Preset is at No.3 setting which is the medium, total 5 settings

Okay, self enlightened after abit of trial n error. Just hold the chrome collar and twist. To go from 3 to 2 need to compress the spring a little. Ie push the assembly upwards.

Question.

I notice that if the side stand is down, we could not start the engine. I have this habit of turning on the engine on side stand and let it warm up before moving. Is there anyway to modify it so that the engine can be turn on with side stand down?

Tested with main stand down and no problem starting the engine.

Just wondering does a normal bike cover big enough for MAXSYM with box?

Yes you can but do you wanna risk it? It's very irritating i know but if you can see the reason behind you will appreciate this very important safety function.

Imagine your bike is started on a side stand and you leave it running while you run abount doing your stuff. a friend come along and playfully rev the scoot wide open throttle to test the roaring engine....you know the rest of the story.

or

Your engine is started on a side stand and due to some electronic malfuntion the engine suddenly rev to 5000rpm...you know the rest of the story :)

Bike cover at least 3L

Can some one help me snap a pix where the main stand rubber is? Want to see if there is any metal bracket support.

Hi Parotae,

Thanks for the explanation. It is very logical.

Hi all,

If I always pillion, what do you think should be the rear shock level that I should set?

Yesterday l went to pump tires and notice that the preload pressure is 260 front 280 rear. Based on the recommended it should be 200 front and 240 rear. Can I check what is the tire pressure you guy using?

My recommendation is better not modify the setting coz its the safety feature just like silverwing..u bring down the side sand and the engine immediately cut off..

It automatic scoot the manufacturer dont want any accidental rev of the bike while on side stand..u know what happen right :D

went jb last nite to changeout my EO at 500km, cost me 40rm for 2 bottles of normal oil.

after dat, i ride and noticed i need to rev higher at 4.8 to 5rpm in order to cruise at 90km/hr

before dat was about 4.5-4.7rpm.

hmm.. now gotta live with it for the time being.. EO changeout at 1000km again to complete my run in period.

the motul EO selling 45rm for 1 bottle of fully syn. next time can go change.. much cheaper there than in sg

Hi guy,

Notice that after riding and turning off he bike, I can heard some metal tapping sound from the rear. Sound like metal contracting.

Is that normal?

And how do you all turn off the engine? Using the emergency button? Pull down the side stand? Switch off using the key?

I just fix a box and it is not secure on the plate and I need to fold paper and put underneath it. Sound Pathetic.

Because the base plate and the top box is not secure even it is lock. The top box and base plate is a free gift.

So I put paper and rubber form underneath it so it wont move up and down while running. And it helps haha.

Do you have metal tapping sound after ride and switch off bike?

Dun worry a bit about the metal tapping sound. It's just the metal bits around the exhaust cooling off thus yes contracting from previous expansion due heat. It will always be there.

Hey guys, wah i'm very tempted after reading all 8 pages and small reviews from everyone. I really feel like changing from my SW to this one. Sadly Swing is still under installment with ASphoon. Any idea if ASphoon has this bike? Maybe i can go back and trade with them.

No doubt about that. Plus a potential lemon in the making. Have owned BMW machines in the past, all cranky sluts once past their warranty periods, cars or bike alike.
