Was fiddling with the bike a few days ago and somehow spoiled the signal lights. Totally not working. Thought could be the signal relay blown. This afternoon free and did a front tear down to find out the type of relay used.

And can't find any signal relay.

Then a thought came over me to check the fuse of the cig outlet, cause its not working too.

True enough fuse is blown. Replaced it and signal works again.

 

Found the relay from the tick tick sound.

Stripped the front for nothing...duh.

yup if u look at the wiring diagram, thats the hazard module. it controls both the hazard and normal signal light. dislike this design. means one function (signal/hazard) not working, must change the whole thing. duno why they can't stick wif the old school 2/3 pin signal relay. simple n cheap.

 

one of my wires came off from the hazard connector ever came off before as well. just be careful wen u meddle around that area. so many connectors and relays.

 

so have u checked for the signal bulbs already? let us know ah?

Alot of led options on ebay. If u remove one of the bulb, does the blink rate change? If chg, then if u install led the blink rate might get faster or nt blink at all.

Didn't test when remove 1 bulb.

Btw it's not the type u mention. Its socket is bau15s (after some googling) the pins are offset type.

I'm curious how much can our maxsym sell for. The oldest maxsym around should be 1 yr and 3 mths? Mine's 8 mth old and 19k mileage. Not selling..just curious.

Bike shops takes in this bike at around this price so that they can price it higher for margin, gotta be abit more realistic as a private buyer imho.

Mine just crossed 3000km. Rode it more during school holidays as I don't need to drive my kids to school on the way to work. Can feel sudden smoothness of the clutch bite during this time. the small Jerkiness and juddering is almost gone completely.
